It's not improved by much honestly, he still needs to take several touches in the box, doesn't attempt any outside the box shots. It is like he only backs himself to score inside the box, and after several touches taking him closer to goal. I'm glad he's scoring more often now though.

Sanchez thought Jones was going to control the ball better or volley first time (as did every normal person watching) so he braced for a shot. When Jones took a bad touch, it caught Sanchez off guard who couldn't push himself forward in time. A keepers job looks easy but it really isn't. Split second decisions where you have to adapt to unexpected touches, flicks etc. You can't really be blaming Sanchez for that one
Big CFC fan. Witnessed the entire game yesterday. Reece James looked sluggish to me, Palmer had a good chance but folded under pressure. Jackson had a good game, just needed more chances. Badiashile,colwil,neto,jackson,and viega did well

I Thought Enzo Maresca made a blunder experiment on this team. You should never play against big team in premiere league with unprepared -well person like james as starter. He just already come back from injury, and have not yet became as stater for many last games. It made unstabel condition on the pitch. There was too many clinical error from james . It was decreasing other defenders's confidence. Our defense so fragile, until gusto back to RB.

When Fernadez, Vega, Neto went in, our style of playing resuming. I wish that moment would come soonner. Solid performance from Vega, Caicedo, Neto, Jackson, Poor Cowill, and Sanchez, but not too bad.

Colwill just sits there and WATCHES while Jones takes that touch and finishes, he doesnt even try and follow him or the ball. Oh sht it. Chelsea are nothing to Liverpool. The last time Chelsea won a game against Liverpool was in 2020 during the Kovid time when there were no fans. In the last 4 years, everytime Chelsea have played Liverpool, in any competition, it's either a draw or Liverpool win.
Chelsea has always performed best when had a ramires,Kante Gallagher type of midfielder to cover the whole midfield. If it's not possible then the need for technical midfielders courageous enough to thread passes forward. That's the current predicament we're having plus goalkeeping and a lethal striker who can be able instill fear and distract opposing defences. If we're able to solve this issues the sky is the limit for this squad

We can score goals, that much we know. It's our defense that needs beefing up with at least one world Class CB to harden up at the back. Excellent performance.
On the first XI,i thought we should have played Veiga as LB. And either Gusto or James as RB. Gusto didnt look comfortable playing on the left side at all. Playing both James and Gusto made us a little vulnerable on the counters. Nevertheless, overall we played well. Liverpool is just too good. They have a mature team and experience players. That made the difference.
good performance actually despite two defensive mistake...we are improving from last year 4-1 lost...liverpool look sharp both attacking and defensively and it was never easy after international break
It was tough. He had the same performance against Forest. He was playing deep. We couldn't really build play that well. Tough match but good character nonetheless especially from Jackson, Caciedo and Gusto. I just think Palmer is expected to do too much building up play. Pool also played deep and didn't let us counter. Besides the goalkeeper making mistakes it was a tight game and certainly an improvement.
Many positives to take, we faced them head on in comparison to last year where we got demolished. We have nothing to fear, we are in process, and the BIG results will follow!

While we were below par today, I thought the team was very mature defensively, we seemed to lack any urgency in getting the ball forward, especially for counter attacks, can’t complain though, it was a good three points against an improving Chelsea team.

Was impressed with Neto. Came on, created a few very good chances. Definitely a player knocking on the door for being a starter in this Chelsea team.

We can score goals, that much we know. It's our defense that needs beefing up with at least one world Class CB to harden up at the back. Excellent performance.
On the first XI,i thought we should have played Veiga as LB. And either Gusto or James as RB. Gusto didnt look comfortable playing on the left side at all. Playing both James and Gusto made us a little vulnerable on the counters.
Nevertheless, overall we played well. Liverpool is just too good. They have a mature team and experience players. That made the difference.

good performance actually despite two defensive mistake...we are improving from last year 4-1 lost...liverpool look sharp both attacking and defensively and it was never easy after international break

It was tough. He had the same performance against Forest. He was playing deep. We couldn't really build play that well. Tough match but good character nonetheless especially from Jackson, Caciedo and Gusto. I just think Palmer is expected to do too much building up play. Pool also played deep and didn't let us counter. Besides the goalkeeper making mistakes it was a tight game and certainly an improvement.

Jackson was great, Palmer need to spend more time shooting practice, what was sanchez thinking with curtis goal, we miss cucurrela and Fofana, we need good midfieders who can actually shoot the ball... average performance
While we were below par today, I thought the team was very mature defensively, we seemed to lack any urgency in getting the ball forward, especially for counter attacks, can’t complain though, it was a good three points against an improving Chelsea team.
