- Parga Attractions. Greek food in Parga, Greece. We spent three weeks in Parga (called Πάργα in Greek), Greece which gave us the chance to really taste some Traditional Greek food dishes, Greek Street Foods and Greek Pastries. In this video we show you some of the Greek Snack Foods we enjoyed as takeaways and on the restaurant premises. One of the first places we visit in this Greek Food video is George´s Souvlaki (Το Ποντιακό) where we enjoy their delicious Greek Pork Gyros (Πίτα Γύρος με Χοιρινό) and Chicken Souvlaki (Σουβλάκι Κοτόπουλο). After George´s Souvlake we visit a Traditional Greek Bakery to buy Greek Pastries to take back to our hotel. The name of the bakery we visit is Bakery - Coffee - Sweet (To Ηπειρωτικό) from where we buy Bougatsa (Μπουγάτσα), Kataïfi (Καταϊφι) and Baklava (Μπακλαβάς). Finally we visit another Greek Gyros Grill called Gyros Grill Filippas (Ψησταρια Φιλιππας) from where we buy a huge Gyros to take back to our hotel to enjoy with our Greek Pastries. We can highly recommend both Gyros Grills for delicious Greek Street Foods like the ones we ate and the bakery for their delicious traditional Greek pastries.

Got to agree Jonathon, been to a few islands when young and a pisshead,but for the last 3 tears have been to Tsiliivi in Zante and the food is wonderful. You can actually taste what food should taste like, not like the forced supermarket rubbish we have. I long for our next trip there (September hopefully). Best wishes, Neil.

You're lucky you chose wisely because there are definitely some places that you have to avoid in terms of quality , I know because I've visited plenty of times and lived there for awhile. George's souvlaki is one of the few good places. Great video

I myself was born of Italian parents and have been speaking the language since I was four. I noticed on your reply you wrote Parma? And then realised that’s what I had written by mistake ( it’s these sausage fingers😁) it should have read Parga! So will be checking out your favourite haunts! I have been many times to SA PE, Cape Town, East London & Durban back in the 70’s great place

Glad that the bakery was one of few places, besides when you were flying, that you need to wear your face diaper. Can't imagine going my whole holiday, especially in a place like Parga, with the thing on.
HeHe, these types of videos do tend to get one hungry! Bougatsa is a very common Greek sweet so there is a good chance you can buy them :-D They are very sweet, not for everybody but if you like Koeksisters you will also like them :-D We plan to go back again during this summer, but it depends on what restrictions there will be. You are a man after my own heart sir, I always say why didn't we buy two 😂But you are so right in saying no fast food chain can compete with the Gyros bars in Greece. We go to Skiathos and though it's nice to eat out in a restaurant in the evening, our favourite is to walk off the beach pick up a Gyros and pastries and do as you two do. I am really enjoying these Parga videos. I must say you are very good at making these videos, it feels like we are there with you. I could live on Gyros and the pastries are delicious too, but they need to be eaten in small amounts as they are very sweet. As Maro said, ideally you should have a small piece with your tea or coffee or after a meal. Thank you for the videos! Parga 2022, here we come! :-)

Nothing like that in the Greek restaurants in the States. Portions are so small and so expensive. These look three or four times as big.

HeHe, that was quite a "Little Snack" wasn´t it!! As far as we can recall there was no dinner after any of those "snacks", HaHa! We do a lot of walking when we are on holiday so that helps burn some of the calories. Maro recovers quickly from extra kilos from holidays but it can take months for me (Maxi) to loose the extras ;-) Life also has to be enjoyed :-D Have a good day and week ahead! its the only real greek beer , all others like mythos or fix or alpha are just greek sounding beers owned by heineken and carlsberg company.
