In 2004, six years after the events of Resident Evil 2, former Raccoon City police officer turned U.S. government agent Leon S. Kennedy is sent on a mission to rescue Ashley Graham, the U.S. President's daughter, who has been kidnapped by a mysterious cult. He travels to a nameless rural village in Spain, where he encounters a group of hostile villagers who pledge their lives to Los Illuminados ("The Enlightened Ones" in Spanish), the cult that kidnapped Ashley. The villagers were once simple farmers until becoming infected by a mind-controlling parasite known as Las Plagas ("The Plague" in Spanish).
As always we used relevant gameplay, important dialogue and all cutscenes to stitch together a fluid cinematic experience. We hope you enjoy!

I've played RE4 countless times over the years and somehow never get bored of it.
I've never played RE4 (I was 4 when it first came out) I only ever watched my brother play it multiple times. Nonetheless, it is still one of my favorite games b/c I remember how immersed I was in the story. Nostalgia factor definitely makes this game ageless.

The detailed amount of research on the backdrop, its content and story makes it a better thriller n horror than most games or even movies. And the kind of screenplay writing, the narrative, moving to new interests and twists with story and bringing new perspectives and creating certain emotions in the certain parts of story and tension inbetween characters, its a thing of immense craft in this game, how it got done. But it also used to scared as a kid.😨(Because it was also a horror game)
I didn't managed to beat it,because i got too scared as a kid,

Same out of all Leon's looks and voice actor this is my favourite. Same as Chris resident evil 5 and village is My favourite look of him.

It still is. Even if the textures and movements have been improved with other games, the expressions and cinematography are some of the best I've seen
It’s one of the many, many reasons why this will always be my favourite RE title. Everything about it is honestly great in my eyes. It’s even aged quite well for its time. Well, at least compared to the older games with the tank controls.
They really were. The facial expressions look a little off in certain cutscenes, but overall it's very impressive and has aged incredibly well.

Technically, I don’t think they’re supposed to be zombies. They’re way too articulate compared to the other zombies in R.E.

They aren't zombies,even the game says that. They're Ganados...they are smarter than zombies,and aren't rotting. They can use weapons and communicate, they have a major degree of intelligence.

People say the voice acting is cheesy, but it's actually better than most other videogames at the time. This actually is more enjoyable to watch than most movies.

Whoever said that is an idiot. Paul Mercier, the guy behind the character's voice, was perfect for this. The remake they made for the PS4 doesn't even come close to the quality of this Resident Evil on the PS2. Unfortunately in the remake they changed almost everything and I hated it!

No one notices how Luis saved Leon. If Leon had gotten it on his own, he would've died in the same way as Luis. Same thing if Leon was the one following Luis.

Right! I believe he would’ve died. Even with the woman in the red dress that helped him along the way probably would’ve died too. Without Luis helping them both? It would’ve been a suicide mission discontinued. So Luis is definitely the MVP of the game
Just realized the guy who does Sadler's voice does like 40% of the voices in Skyrim
And he sounds so much better here, so many NPCs in Skyrim have rather wooden dialogue.

I think even for it’s time it was sorta self aware, taking unrealistic situations and balancing it with camp and seriousness adds it’s own individuality to it all. It’s like a horror James Bond movie with a pinch of subtle satirical salt. Glad it didn’t just go the safe route, because the camp reacted from the action too, and the action would be used forever after in gaming alike. Truly a funky horror

You have to beat the game twice to be able to afford those weapons.
I beat the game once, sold all my ammo, guns and rocket launcher (the special one at the end) and bought the unlimited rocket launcher and used just that till I got all my guns back lol
@@Mitjitsu beat it once and was able to afford both by the end, I done all treasures killed every enemy in each area even if I didn’t have to, sold my equipment, farmed eggs, did the medallions so I could sell the free gun, sold the free rocket launcher, sold my ammo and by the end I was able to buy both

i remember playing it for a few days to finish the first time.
Did you play it on hard mode, professional, etc? You get new weapons after beating the game each time, that's the purpose. Oh, and Mercenaries which was an absolute nightmare to get 5 stars on with each character.

This game is not short by any means, it's 8 hours at least without exploration or collecting treasures.

I don't know why but I like Leon and Luis's first conversation when they wake up is. Maybe because there's no music. Wished it was longer. His and Mike's death were sad especially Luis's death which in my opinion is one of the saddest deaths in the franchise if not in gaming history and the music and Leon's reaction makes it even more sad

Coming back to this after playing the remake, as much as I love the remake, I dont think it lives up to the title of Resident Evil 4. Even just the first 5 minutes, the introduction is so interesting, the music, the energy, the vibes. Leons voice and witty comebacks, not that he doesn’t have them in the remake but theyre fewer and far in between. Idk, just something about the original Resident Evil 4 Leon is so much more endearing, I will say, I appreciate the remakes Ashley much more than this original version of her.
