I've seen a lot of people who are used to arena fighters come to DBFZ and complain you can't break out of a combo. Despite fighting games being awesome, arena fighters tend to be easier or more accessible, I think that's why they keep putting those out

I want three things: 1. Black Clover Quartet Knights 2 that has a solid release date and is actually marketed 2. HXH open world game, like World Seeker but you can play as Gon, Killua, Kurapika, and Leorio, and the world doesn't look dead. 3. Naruto, OP, or 7DS DBFZ style fighting game.
God... every time i hear world seeker. I remember that shitty final fight where you have to block 24/7 where you literally do nothing but block and then you have to get perfect block and shit. Literally the fight prior to that was better.

It'd sell like crazy and One Piece is at its most hype, in its current arc now then it has been since marineford imo.

You could mitigate clone characters like pre-time skip and post timeskips to the same slot and just toggle between to free up roster space. This game could have well over a hundred characters so long as fans wanna keep supporting it. Considering One Piece is one of Japan's biggest properties I'm sure that would be completely possible 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I've played World Seeker and it was actually good. Did you try it? I would say if they use the same game engine with some improvements in the sequel such as more playable characters, sailing, fishing etc it will be amazing. So much potential.
Umm you do know the reason DBZ gets a game nearly every year is due to Bandai Namco having/had a long standing agrement with Toei (which goes way back) that they have to produce atleast 1 DBZ game every 1-2 years. Also Due to the fact that most anime games are most of them are licensed tie-in games which means No airing anime = no game. DBZ (due to it pretty much transcending being just an anime) & Gundam (which is directly owned by the publisher of their games, unlike other anime games) are exceptions to that rule Also look at the earning reports from last year for Bandai Namco & see what it gets from the dragonball franchise alone compared to others under its umbrella of IP's. Dragonball literally prints money for them so as a buisness they will continue to go for the sure moneymaker and not risk a flop
i know arcys now busy in the big project, if bamco want to hire arcys again maybe 3 or 4 years from now. But if they hire another developer it can be realized immediately.
Naruto has more of a chance to get the fighterz treatment than any other anime(including One Piece) aside from MHA due to the fact it has mass worldwide appeal especially in the west. The problem is Bandai might be on the fence about making an arcsys game due to greed about how fast they will get a return on investment. I say this because Shinobi Strikers took about 2 years to sell 1 million copies and In comparison, MHA One’s Justice 1 moved 500k in around 6 months and Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions moved the same amount in a week. There is hope however

Tbh I wish there was more effort or at least passion put into the anime games, for example series like MHA should really have Xenoverse RPG style game where you can create your own hero and have a gameplay system that is competitive but also enjoyable to play. Black Clover open world game would fit the black clover universe. Bleach should get a Storm like series (CyberConnect) and Jojo should definitely get a 2D fighter game with Fighterz graphics.

Shaman King's coming back too, so I think there's maybe a good chance we could get something from that. Also Fire Force could potentially get a game if it stays popular. If it does, I hope it's a fighting game. One Piece is obviously getting more stuff and while I'm generally sick of open world action games/rpgs, I feel like there's good potential for a One Piece game on the level of Spider Man PS4. Granted, you're not fitting the entire One Piece story in a single game, but there's potential for something good. Very unlikely right now, but if the Webtoon anime keep up and continue to gain popularity, we could see something from that. Of course, I'm gonna say Tower of God and God of Highschool. Also unlikely, but one thing I'd love to see is an Isekai crossover. It can be 2D or arena. As for the arena fighter problem, I honestly like the sub genre and would like to see it grow. Just give it to people who actually know what they're doing like A+ or Byking. I know everyone praises CC2, but at least for me, their games only manage to look pretty while not really having any substance. Then there's Spike. They need to step up or get out. Plain and simple

There's actually one game that I feel is one of the best anime games in terms of visuals, and that's Astral Chain. Even being on the Switch, it still look gorgeous and really pops with its visual flair.

It was actually the most popular anime arena fighter. You know fan from the West has been import the shit out of the PS3 ver. for Bandai Namco to realize there is an audience in the West. The game was the number 1 arcade in Japan, BTW.

A My Hero Fighting game would be neat, as well as a Demon Slayer open world game, a crossover 2D fighter, a One Piece fleet battle game and a SamSho Style Bleach game, those are my personal picks anyway.

I'm fine with 1080p and single consoles

Bandai doesn't seem to want any of their developers to work on anime games that aren't gundam. They just keep getting other studios to do the games they license.
As a Bleach fan and somebody who collected quite a number of the manga volumes, I actually didn't notice the repetitiveness of the Soul Society and Hueco Mundo arc. When the Hueco Mundo arc started I just got more brain-dead and enjoyed the fight scenes as they were. The ending of the Ichigo vs Grimmjow fight was definitely lackluster after both sides kept refusing to go down, and then Grimmjow just giving up after his strongest attack was negated. Stark and Herbiel felt like they were not too well thought out with their lackluster skills, and watching this video made me aware of the fact that the final fight of Ichigo vs Aizen really did not have a satisfying conclusion to this story besides flashy attacks. The fullbringer arc to me was just a filler between the arrancar and quincy arc, with some more flashy fights. The quincy arc started off interesting and I guess like many people would agree it was too rushed and did not have a satisfying ending. For me it was one of the manga that I grew up with, and one of the series that helped when I wanted to improve on my drawing skills. It was sad to see it go downwards in terms of story quality, but I guess we'll just have to accept it and at least thank Tite Kubo for the many years he continued to bring this series to the world.
Im disappointed that American superhero series are confirmed for PS5 but no anime games announced for next gen, still waiting on Yuyuhakusho, Fire Force and HxH next gen console games.
All I honestly want from Xenoverse unleashed is more optimization, better quality and... mod support. I know it realistically won't happen but god dammit I want it so badly. I still pick up Xenoverse 2 at least once a week to mess around in another story mode or something, but I only do it with mods. I only got the game originally cause I saw so many AMAZING mod packs that make the game function on such a fantastic playing field. I could totally imagine the next Xenoverse game running with that idea and making the biggest addition to the game a fully compatible mod support system for consoles and PC with an official website to post SFW mods for your game. That would be insanely cool and the most amazing thing about it is that the work is already done for them. If they literally come into contact with the people behind the Xenoverse Patcher and New Transformation mods than they can just pay them to use their ideas and be done with it. They could even have a separate online lobby for mod users so that they can still play in online vanilla without disabling and uninstalling all of their mods.
I feel like the recent Tsubasa game can unexpectedly get very popular. This might lowkey give a chance to og ips like Kenshin, Hitman Reborn and YuYu hakusho, etc.
My favorite anime game of the last generation was Fist of the North Star Lost Paradise. After playing that game I just want a Gintama game made by the Yakuza team. I think they would make a perfect Gintama game. The comedic tone of Gintama along with the awesome action when it get's serious would be perfect for a Yakuza style game. As far as Anime games in general I wish companies that had anime licenses let Platinum Games make games for them. I think a lot of people would prefer a Action/Adventure anime game like Bayonetta, Astral Chain or Nier Automata instead of just more arena fighters or Warriors games.
Crossplay is by far the thing I want the most out of this generation, along with good netplay. As a PC player, it's terrible to feel out of the loop just because PS4 has traditionally been the focus of competitive fighting games. Granblue is more dead than Guilty Gear Xrd and BlazBlue Centralfiction on PC by now.
The fairy tail rpg is a great example of a new type of anine game , would also like to see the best developer platinum games make an action game based of an anime
Man, I just want a Jojo game on PC that is a healthy mix of actually good and fun gameplay and fan service. That's my dream game. Nice and simple. Especially when part 6's anime is finished, thats the peak of likeliness of a Jojo game, to me at least. Especially since part 5 has been over for a while and there's no word on one.
I am predicting a Captain Tsubasa 2. The first game sold really well for an anime game. Half a million on first week and well, i like it, so i hope they support this one with DLC and fix the issues and then make a new one for PS5 with a new story arc.
Been saying this for a long time, but there's so many manga and anime that deserve and would work great as games, especially competitive fighting games. Just to name a few: - BLEACH - BAKI - ONE PUNCH MAN - NARUTO - ONE PIECE - BERSERK
They should do a jump force that just has the story mode of multiple anime separately instead of being an arena fighter. I feel like sometimes a single anime doesn't have enough content for a full game, and joining them all in one package will not only attract several people, but introduce them to new anime
Just because an anime ends doesn’t man it’s popularity instantly becomes negligible For example Dragon Ball’s manga ended in 1995 yet it still received plenty of games afterwards
One Piece World Seeker was a great game and I think it was a step in the right direction. Sure it's not perfect but it was a very fun game with good story, amazing graphics and fun overall gameplay (Traversal, combat, stealth, missions variety etc). I think it has so much potential to be even better if people gave it a chance where we could see an improved sequel with more playable characters, sailing between islands, more plolished combat, fishing and better crafting system.
I honestly don't mind an Arena Fighter but they should be done right. I the main ones I liked was Naruto, Dragonball, and my personal favorite Pokken Tournament. Hopefully we get some great games these next few games

Tbh I wish there was more effort or at least passion put into the anime games, for example series like MHA should really have Xenoverse RPG style game where you can create your own hero and have a gameplay system that is competitive but also enjoyable to play. Black Clover open world game would fit the black clover universe. Bleach should get a Storm like series (CyberConnect) and Jojo should definitely get a 2D fighter game with Fighterz graphics.

Shaman King's coming back too, so I think there's maybe a good chance we could get something from that. Also Fire Force could potentially get a game if it stays popular. If it does, I hope it's a fighting game. One Piece is obviously getting more stuff and while I'm generally sick of open world action games/rpgs, I feel like there's good potential for a One Piece game on the level of Spider Man PS4. Granted, you're not fitting the entire One Piece story in a single game, but there's potential for something good.
Very unlikely right now, but if the Webtoon anime keep up and continue to gain popularity, we could see something from that. Of course, I'm gonna say Tower of God and God of Highschool. Also unlikely, but one thing I'd love to see is an Isekai crossover. It can be 2D or arena.
As for the arena fighter problem, I honestly like the sub genre and would like to see it grow. Just give it to people who actually know what they're doing like A+ or Byking. I know everyone praises CC2, but at least for me, their games only manage to look pretty while not really having any substance. Then there's Spike. They need to step up or get out. Plain and simple

Kimetsu No Yaiba is insanely popular to be exact. Although, a Kimetsu ArcSys fighting game can only happen when the anime aligns with the manga.

Gundam Extreme Vs.Maxiboost on is very underrated and I think it should be recognized the gameplay look's dummy fun the over 189 Gundam (I think) you should review it!
It was actually the most popular anime arena fighter. You know fan from the West has been import the shit out of the PS3 ver. for Bandai Namco to realize there is an audience in the West. The game was the number 1 arcade in Japan, BTW.

Funny enough, it was outsourced to Capcom and Bandai just took the foundation that Capcom did to expand the franchise to Extreme Vs. series

I'd love to see anime games based on soul eater, bleach and fullmetal alchemist.. and have games in cell shaded visuals or the manga style ones with the marker effect that shinobi striker did so well ( yeah people hate on it, but they were expecting ultimate ninja storm visuals.. shinobi striker when with visuals and color that matched the colored manga pages) .dont care about cross play or 4k of course.. I'm fine with 1080p and single consoles
I wish Bandai would ask the Tales team to work on Tales of style RPGs for different anime franchises. I would much prefer that than more arena fighters or musou games personally
Bandai doesn't seem to want any of their developers to work on anime games that aren't gundam. They just keep getting other studios to do the games they license.
As a Bleach fan and somebody who collected quite a number of the manga volumes, I actually didn't notice the repetitiveness of the Soul Society and Hueco Mundo arc. When the Hueco Mundo arc started I just got more brain-dead and enjoyed the fight scenes as they were. The ending of the Ichigo vs Grimmjow fight was definitely lackluster after both sides kept refusing to go down, and then Grimmjow just giving up after his strongest attack was negated. Stark and Herbiel felt like they were not too well thought out with their lackluster skills, and watching this video made me aware of the fact that the final fight of Ichigo vs Aizen really did not have a satisfying conclusion to this story besides flashy attacks.
The fullbringer arc to me was just a filler between the arrancar and quincy arc, with some more flashy fights. The quincy arc started off interesting and I guess like many people would agree it was too rushed and did not have a satisfying ending. For me it was one of the manga that I grew up with, and one of the series that helped when I wanted to improve on my drawing skills. It was sad to see it go downwards in terms of story quality, but I guess we'll just have to accept it and at least thank Tite Kubo for the many years he continued to bring this series to the world.
Im disappointed that American superhero series are confirmed for PS5 but no anime games announced for next gen, still waiting on Yuyuhakusho, Fire Force and HxH next gen console games.

All I honestly want from Xenoverse unleashed is more optimization, better quality and... mod support.
I know it realistically won't happen but god dammit I want it so badly. I still pick up Xenoverse 2 at least once a week to mess around in another story mode or something, but I only do it with mods. I only got the game originally cause I saw so many AMAZING mod packs that make the game function on such a fantastic playing field. I could totally imagine the next Xenoverse game running with that idea and making the biggest addition to the game a fully compatible mod support system for consoles and PC with an official website to post SFW mods for your game. That would be insanely cool and the most amazing thing about it is that the work is already done for them. If they literally come into contact with the people behind the Xenoverse Patcher and New Transformation mods than they can just pay them to use their ideas and be done with it. They could even have a separate online lobby for mod users so that they can still play in online vanilla without disabling and uninstalling all of their mods.
I feel like the recent Tsubasa game can unexpectedly get very popular. This might lowkey give a chance to og ips like Kenshin, Hitman Reborn and YuYu hakusho, etc.

My favorite anime game of the last generation was Fist of the North Star Lost Paradise. After playing that game I just want a Gintama game made by the Yakuza team. I think they would make a perfect Gintama game. The comedic tone of Gintama along with the awesome action when it get's serious would be perfect for a Yakuza style game.
As far as Anime games in general I wish companies that had anime licenses let Platinum Games make games for them. I think a lot of people would prefer a Action/Adventure anime game like Bayonetta, Astral Chain or Nier Automata instead of just more arena fighters or Warriors games.
Crossplay is by far the thing I want the most out of this generation, along with good netplay. As a PC player, it's terrible to feel out of the loop just because PS4 has traditionally been the focus of competitive fighting games.
Granblue is more dead than Guilty Gear Xrd and BlazBlue Centralfiction on PC by now.

Man, I just want a Jojo game on PC that is a healthy mix of actually good and fun gameplay and fan service. That's my dream game. Nice and simple. Especially when part 6's anime is finished, thats the peak of likeliness of a Jojo game, to me at least. Especially since part 5 has been over for a while and there's no word on one.
I am predicting a Captain Tsubasa 2. The first game sold really well for an anime game. Half a million on first week and well, i like it, so i hope they support this one with DLC and fix the issues and then make a new one for PS5 with a new story arc.

They should do a jump force that just has the story mode of multiple anime separately instead of being an arena fighter. I feel like sometimes a single anime doesn't have enough content for a full game, and joining them all in one package will not only attract several people, but introduce them to new anime

For example Dragon Ball’s manga ended in 1995 yet it still received plenty of games afterwards
One Piece World Seeker was a great game and I think it was a step in the right direction. Sure it's not perfect but it was a very fun game with good story, amazing graphics and fun overall gameplay (Traversal, combat, stealth, missions variety etc). I think it has so much potential to be even better if people gave it a chance where we could see an improved sequel with more playable characters, sailing between islands, more plolished combat, fishing and better crafting system.
The only thing I'll give bandai is that as a xbox player there the only one that puts anime games on the xbox
