They should bring this show back, with a new cast of kids.. With Sam returning, along with the others. They've all returned to the town, along with their children, who take over the coachhouse. I think it would be awesome for a new generation.

Kind of reminds me of a "you're too old for Narnia now" moment. Samantha enters adulthood with the mentorship of a writer, which leaves the audience with the sense that hers is the path Sam will choose for herself. Poignant.

How creepy would it have been to have had Sam drive away with her family, everyone saying goodbye - her clutching the frame... She gets in the car and happens to see in one of the corners is written 'See you again, soon... Duneedon'... Frantic, as the car is pulling away she looks back at the small crowd and in the back is Duneedon... Sam's family drives off with her pleading to stop...The car leaves Herbertville and cue end credits music lol

Look at pretty Lynne with her hair down! ❤
And Sam looked equally pretty in her dress. ❤
I don't mean to sound picky, but since this was a show about grammar and pronunciation and all---when Chris read: "That's what they all say," he put the emphasis on the word "all" when he should have put it on "day," to make to rhyme sound better.
Still, it doesn't take away the emotion in Theta and Otto's poem. It was beautiful. 💔 And Lynne looking at Sam at 7:25 was especially heartfelt/heartbreaking.
But of course, not as heartbreaking as Sam's final moments with Otto and Theta, and then her slow walk out of the Coach House. I'm surprised she didn't break down crying. But I guess Sam's too reserved to do a thing like that...at least in public. 😢
Even though this was without a doubt the saddest eppy of the entire series, I remember that fade-out ending of Lynne writing to Sam, and the camera panning to outside the Coach House, and it brings back happy, sunshiny memories of watching RAAI in late Spring, with the onset of Summer and the end of the school year, and how nice it was to be a kid like Chris, Sam, Lynne, and Alex.
So in that sense, this was a very happy ending. 😊

Why did they have to write Sam out of the show?

@@XNY556-Apple Someone said that TV ONTARIO couldn't/wouldn't pay for four kids at once. Notice that after Alex arrives, there are very few episodes where all four are together. At least one is missing. In fact, I think the only times they were when they first rescued Alex, and once more in the series finale. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

@@captainfantastic9158 they should have just let Alex be the guest star. The original three had great chemistry.

that poem by Otto/Theta hit hard. I think that's one you'd appreciate even more as an adult.

@kristinaliong7484 Popular or no, a good show is a good show! And don't let the haters get you down, K. You do what you like because your TRUE friends wouldn't down you.
Or as Otto might type: "Live and let live."
