Great video man. Went through the same thing. I wish I had found your video at the beginning of the project. Great mentioning the gas coming out of the gas line because no one talks about it. It’s reassuring to know it isn’t a lot and it isn’t high pressure. I learned that by trial and error. Thanks for sharing

I just paid to have a mechanic replace that pipe. Note that I see your video I realize that I might have been able to tackle that.
Next is my water reservoir bottle. My coolant level is fine but the sensor is broken so it shows “coolant low.” I may change that myself.

There is also a back counterpart to that front plastic flange. It could be cracked also if the leak persists after you do this repair. To get to it you just need to remove the intake manifold cover completely which he has hanging because he didn’t need full removal

Are there any type of gaskets you removed from the manifold? Also, once the fuel line is back on what about the pressurizing of it?

Hello, I had the same leakage. I changed the coolant outlet flange, and the water pump. Turns out the coolant oulet flange was causing the leakage. My truck no longer has a coolant leakage but now my tempeture senser stays on cold for a while then it heats up half way then cools itself and then the temperature meter goes all the way to hot. Did anyone else have this problem ?? Do you know what could be causing this??

@@teddngo Yes the crossover pipe does connect to the back of the waterpump, when i had removed the leaking pipe i noticed the ends with the o-rings of the pipe were broken off and still in the engine block. i got a small pick and they pulled right out. i think its a bit of a bad design on jaguar land rovers part

May I ask..would you know if there is the same lay out on the 4.4 V8 of LR3 concerning this cross pipe?
Also may I mention..if you still find coolant leaking in that area there is another Cross Coolant line at the other end off that engine. If you look on RUclips there is a video titled
2011 Range Rover Sport Coolant leak..or something like that..it shows the manifold completely off and that plastic coolant line going across the back...If our LR3 needs this job done as we are leaking a lot I will have them do both.
How many hours do you estimate will take a professional Shoppe for this job with two lines replaced
and manifold taken off as that back line will likely require it.?
    Nice video

    • @delllall
      @delllall  4 года назад +1

In reply to your question you are correct, there is another similar looking coolant pipe near the back towards the firewall. I did change that particular one at a later stage when it did start to leak. The back one took approximately one and half hours from start to finish. The front pipe, I would allow at least fours hours. Lastly, only a suggestion do buy the parts required from the Land Rover Dealership, as I do not recommend the aftermarket ones from experience.

@@delllall Thank you...we have really been though it lately..We were worried that our engine (4.4 V8) would blow last weekend so we took it to mechanics on Monday who said they had no time very backed up leave it...they drove it..said they pressure tested it.. everything normal..found nothing..we picked it up Sat..drove it 16 miles got home every thing smelled like coolant..in 2 minutes 16" circle of coolant on the floor under car..back yard cats in danger..
So we were going to go back and tell them to check hoses that you point out in your video if they exist in the 4.4..
But neighbor who has been loaning us his truck all week long comes by and says let me see truck. He raises bonnet presses gas and you can hear something is not right..He says to my wife let's go for a ride..he drives it directly to a mechanic..on a Sunday at 6:30 pm that he knows who starts moving Hoses while neighbor presses gas..and my wife who is short says wait I see coolant spurting out under plastic engine cover..
They take cover off and one of the smaller hoses was completely broken..within 2-3 minutes it was diagnosed..Mechanic says the thin hoses are dry and cracking needing replacement and rigs up a temporary repair with a metal tube clamped down on each end to join hose till it can be replaced tommorow ..and car runs nice again.
They diagnosed in two minutes what the other shoppe did not bother to do in 6 days..so we will have the 3 brittle thinner hoses replaced tommorow..and may God bless LR3 on past it's 173k miles on to many more.. thanks for the excellent video.
