Really like the T7, currently on a Gen 2.5 KLR. Kitted out for around $5,500. Currently pulling two jobs so the wife can stay home with the babies. Once we’re free and clear of that a little bit quicker bike will be in my stable. For now the KLR is a noble pack animal for me.
Yep. Since I've mounted my Mivv Dakar, I just ride so much more relaxed and peace of mind. No matter if it drops on the right side or not. Plus it sounds mean
I agree with you my friend! This bike is simply sensational for any type of terrain and situation! For those who like adventure, it's the perfect bike!
That’s a great looking whip! I’m happy to see the Motology dash kit on there, as I was thinking about getting one myself. I look forward to seeing more of this bike on the Fieldcraft channel!
You’re the only person I know that would go hard enough to high center a bike a couple days before it goes to the @fieldcraftsurvival and Overland Expo 😂 Solid Build with some fun go fast parts Kyle 🔥
Ive got a honda xrl 650 that i just finished up a build on. I got similar racks and bags as y'all do and I also went with a 5 gallon tank and many many other things. Y'all did a great job on the bike fellas. Happy trials!
I bought a mint condition 2017 Honda crf250L with 180 miles on it a couple years ago from a friend for 5 grand,it only does 60 on the highway (I geared it lower for trails)but I love that bike and ride it almost every day,its not a great dirtbike but still alot of fun
I installed the Quad Lock waterproof, wireless charging, device mount, with the vibration dampener and 10mm bar clamp. I can mount my phone in portrait or landscape configuration with Quad Locks 1/4 turn lock system. And, not cover any of the T7's dash screen. I wouldn't want to mount a device any other way. With a decent Bluetooth helmet comm, it's an awesome setup.
I've never had much luck with Yamaha. I had a Honda xr250l as a first vehicle back when you could get a motorcycle license at 14 but had to wait till 16 to get a license for a truck. Currently have an xr600r and like the air cool XR650L. Probably go that route.
Is that Outback Motortek luggage rack the symmetric version? I have a deposit on a T7 (selling my Africa Twin) and I like the space for stashing extras that a symmetric rack would provide, I am just worried that my Mosko Moto Backcountry 35s will stick out way past the handlebar width. I'm not weaving in and out of traffic or between trees often, so maybe I am worried about nothing.
Yes they are symmetrical. We will be putting extra fuel in that spot so we wanted the space. As far as width goes, it’s not even noticeable. Just did 1800 miles with them on a off-road trip with no issues
@@backcountryadvmoto I like that extra space. I have a Camel Tank on my AT and like not having fuel range anxiety, so I'll get one for my T7. Thanks for the reply!
traded in by rally raid cb500x for a tenere 700 in early april and just last week got it to where i want it with racks and guards. Eventually will do the suspension but for my weight it's already better over the rougher things at speed compared to the cb500x. I'm enjoying it so far no big off roading yet but planning on going on a trip soon! I've wondered what your thoughts are on the T7 compared to say the africa twin or your new bmw. I think you might've covered it before but couldn't remember.
Hey man are you available to go for a short trip to northern idaho this weekend or at the end of june? Have you spent any time around priest lake Idaho? Good trails.
@@backcountryadvmoto i live just north of metaline falls wa, about 2.5 hrs north of coeur d'alene. A beginner would be better off starting smaller and cheaper to see if its for them. Something like a Himalayan is half the price and wont get you speeding tickets and broken bones, plus it does slow bike work much better since its got more low end torque and less throttle than the tenere which like happened to you can cause the bike to jump out from you. But you do you and sell people on your free stuff.
I could NEVER adjust to any fairing on my enduros. Yeah, they arent smooth on the highway....but i am a gravel road guy. 1980s XT350 (3)/XT600/XR650. I dont do all the nav/electronics either. Primitive. $6k in all 5 bikes. Thats affordable, and all the kids can escape.
@@backcountryadvmoto thanks, be sure to put the lowering dog bone on that bastard. Very tall...and I am tall. It's makes it challenging off road. I am too cheap to buy that dog bone. The KLR is a great bike. It’s a do-it-all machine that just won’t die 👍🏻
I personally prefer the KLR, been shopping around for one myself. Great reputation and seems to be more affordable

Great build project. Thank you for the shoutout too.
For sure! Thanks for all the support
The benefits of a high mount exhaust is not to be underestimated on the T7.
Totally agree. Plus it looks amazing. I have an HP corse full exhaust on mine. Have a couple shorts on my channel showing it.
