Nice yo see Poe popping his head around the corner. Great list Al, Roadside Picnic had such an affect on me I'm hoping to fit in a reread this year.

It’s a fantastic book, well worth it’s spot high on this list. I do not blame you for wanting to re-read it.

I'm looking forward to Gai Jin. It is one of two Clavell books I haven't read yet, the other being Whirlwind. Roger Ackyrord is my favorite Christie novel partly because it is the only one I figured out before the reveal. Lonesome Dove is one of my favorite books of all time. It blew me away. Excellent list. Well done.

Lonesome Dove is a true classic. It would bother my current top 10 of all time for sure. By what Clavell books you have not read I assume you have read in publication order 🧐.

Enjoyed seeing your top faves! Roadside Picnic and Electric Sheep are so good. I’ve wanted to read Monte Cristo but -well it’s so long 😫

It is very long. It can be hard to recommend books over 1,000 pages when there are so many great shorter books out there 🤷🏻‍♂️.

An excellent list mate! The Pit and The Pendulum is my favorite Poe story. I definitely want to read Best Served Cold as well as Lonesome Dove next year. Hope you have an even better 2025 my friend!

The Roger Ackroyd is a good one! I would have been more blown away but it got spoiled for me in a movie. ☹️
Love watching top tens when people read just new books, I don't get the same books over and over lol.

It is a great one. I saw the Scooby Doo ending coming but it was still great to read on page.
I’m not sure I’ll ever be caught up enough to do a top ten of new books 😅.

I think some people sleep on her novels and her writing in some corners of booktube. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the four I’ve read and this was my favourite so far.
