- Texas and Venezuela played in the third place game in the 2024 Little League World Series.
Covering sports in a unique way since 2018.
If you’re looking for high quality sports content, then this is the channel for you! I’ve covered Baseball (NCAA, LLWS, Professional), Football (NCAA, NFL), Softball (NCAA), Basketball (NBA, NCAA), Hockey (NHL), and much more!
The best part of my work as a RUclipsr is being able to provide coverage of sports that may not receive as much attention as they should to the large audience I have built over the years. Many of the sports I cover aren't posted by any other RUclipsrs, which makes this channel that much more important.
One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

It's a shame, you could see the drop off in enthusiasm for both teams 😢
Same with the fans, like it was super quiet these highlights and felt odd
Yep most teams lose the fire in the third place game
Yes especially from Venezuela. they looked like they didnt even care about the game.
@@Ace4Lsu i wish Luis Yepez wouldve gotten lucky enough to hit a homerun
Yeah no one ever cares about this game. I think it's great for them to get a little extra ball in at Williamsport before they go home, though, even if their hearts aren't really in it. It often results in a more friendly atmosphere.
Dang, even the fans were disengaged in the game. Felt like they were playing to just play an extra game. You can tell everyone here wanted to be in the championship
neither team deserved to be in the championship game.
@@danjo1967 for which???? Also, bit of a spoiler/giveaway to the actual championship today if you’re talking bout the teams who made it⬇️
Today’s championship was flippin amazing, they deserved to be there
@@danjo1967ehh disagree. Texas only lost once.. Venezuela with their ace was very tough. It’s really hard to tell though in tournaments as there’s many factors that go into winning and doing well
Little League World Series should be a best of 3 not winning take all if a team went undefeated all tournament but that’s little league for you
Thanks wheels for the coverage of these games .
That’s my 2nd baseman! Great game by all the kids! I was a similar size to Venezuela’s 2B. I couldn’t hit worth a shit, but I could play SS and 2B alright.
BEST umpired game I've seen in a long time.
Wish this crew were on Venezuela's game yesterday...... I too only watch for the umps.
Umpires do a great job every year bozo.

Excellent editing job @Wheels. Thank you for this!
Good run Texas, congrats on a great year!
All the teams that make the LLWS should be proud.. that said, I bet the Texas and Venezuela coaches see a third place finish as almost like a loss overall
Spoiler blocker
Much appreciated
We love you
Thank you
You win!
Who won? 😂
That last batter for Texas couldn’t resist biting on that 3-1 pitch 😓 if he held off it would have drawn the tying walk
last kid on texas swung at ball 4..shame
Saw 6 pitches, none of them were strikes, and swung at 2 of them.
Thank You for all of these highlights!
Before I forget Wheels, great job on the videos thru the whole series. Quality and editing was great.
This is so tough. They just gave 4 games of their ALL, now have to play a consolation game? It’s hard. Texas also got screwed over. “Double elimination” but they only lost one game.
Second year in a row!
Chinese Taipei got screwed over too as did quite a few teams in the regionals. I’d really like to see them fix the format and make sure all teams must lose twice
It’s double elimination up to the championship game. It’s not a championship series. They played less games than everyone else but still made it to the championship game.
@@brianmeen2158Nobody got screwed over. Both Texas and Chinese Taipei played less games than the teams in the losing bracket. It’s a championship game, not a championship series. It’s double elimination leading up to the championship game. The losing bracket team is still at a disadvantage due to pitching arms. Florida played 2 more games than Texas to be in the championship
Great coverage of the LLWS... thanks
Again with the passed balls and Wild pitches. I would love to see the stat on how many runs were scored as a result of these over the entire llws. It should be a point of emphasis for coaches
That's Little League - it happens much more frequently than in the Majors. While impressively skilled and knowledgeable already, these kids are still learning and developing.
Great season
Agree. I enjoy the LLWS much more than the MLB
Correct ending. Two teams were close but ven was little better
Thank you so much for your highlight videos Wheels! So many amazing and close games, too.
Good job Venezuela!!!!
Great edit and no spoilers, thanks partner 🤠
Nice job, Thxs for everything!
7:41 that was a good call why is everybody so suprised?
This should have been the championship game - both of these teams
Very important day to bring your (A) game... they've got no one else to blame.
demasiado bueno el juego, texas es letal con el double play😅
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤desde Venezuela!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
These are 12-year-old children… they look like freaking college baseball players lol
8:54 Balk. He moved with foot on the rubber.
No balks in little league
Not a balk
No balks and nobody on base
There is no such thing as a bases-empty balk in any rulebook. Before you start calling out rules, it's good to familiarize yourself with what the rules actually are. With bases empty, you can only have an illegal pitch, which is an automatic ball. In LL Majors (such as the LLWS), with runners on base there is no such thing as a traditional balk (where baserunners move up). It's still just an illegal pitch and the batter gets a ball added to his count.
texas squad has the best shortstop in the tournament i think
Florida’s SS has actual skill from what “I’ve” seen
His arm is way too weak compared to the other shortstops
"The Jet" is awesome
He's good, but I'm concerned he doesn't use two hands often enough. He should start doing that more.
with a healthy hurst, texas would have beaten florida and been in the championship
They were out matched by alot..that 1st inning Venezuela wasn't focused..they are the best team..2.japan...
"The umpire was right there in on it" means absolutely nothing in Williamsport(this year anyway)
And every yearn LLWS is a corrupt joke, rampant cheating district size to build all star roster.m, lying about age, even steroid use. Additionally sports books allow wagering on the games. I'm certain that coaches are bought off to throw games in the internqtional bracket, maybe even umpires too.
Venezuelan kids are much shorter the Texas I don’t get how you can say that
Its nice to see the kids are not perfect!😊
12:18. Great example of everything wrong with LLWS strike zones. That pitch is an easy called strike on a left handed batter. Every time. With the righty at the plate, it's a HBP. LL needs to clean this up, actually follow the rulebook, and put the **100% symmetrical** zone back over home plate ... and you'll stop these batters who literally are batting with their toes touching home plate.
You’re allowed to have your toes on the chalk line, as a pitcher, the only way you get them off the plate is by throwing at them early.
Lake Mary, FLORIDA Gotta come thru now
They’re probably cooked 😭
Edit: I stand corrected.
They’ll be alright today. They actually match up better against Taiwan than they did Venezuela.
I don’t think they have their best pitcher. it’ll be a high scoring game for sure
@@dannyj5272they woulda got smoked by Venezuela, especially if Venezuelan pitched one of their top 5 pitchers
And they still prob getting blown out by taiwan
It’s a shame that international teams have to play different countries and the US just keeps playing states until the finals. They should just do a random picks for selection once there’s like 32 teams left. Do like a team selection out of a hat or something. Would be nice to see different smaller countries playing random city and states from the US.
Last pitch was ball 4. Could have tied the game but it lost the game with that swing.
you don't watch enough LL baseball if you think that pitch was a ball.
Umps here have LARGE strikezones especially on the corners
your comment makes more sense if it was an obvious ball but the pitch was 50/50 and if I'm the hitter I'm swinging
@@drwalka10 Stop trying to gaslight me bro. I watch enough where they call them balls then inconsistently call them strikes. Even the final today he went from a tight zone to a wide one in a matter of one inning.
@@drwalka10 Also in the final today, nice blown call on the first base ump calling that a swing too BTW. How the F could he miss that when everyone else could see it was a partial swing.
This game was over when that umpire gave Venezuela the lead on a bad call instead of strike three.
Can’t blame the ref for all the pop flies not caught in the outfield. This game was not determined by a bad call
Cuando es la final
W
TX. Pitcher ………… sloppy at best…….
Texas outfielders were a big problem in this game and in the USA championship
Despite losing today Texas is still the best team in the little league World Series in my opinion
Must not know much about baseball... Taiwan and Japan both have better teams, and Venezuela was clearly the better team here. Florida hit the ball much better than Texas. So Texas coming up 4th...where they belong.
@@MengzisDisciple perhaps a pool play format would be better in the LLWS. Have 4 pools and have each team
Play the other once - top 4 teams advance to another pool where they again play each other team
Once.. then the top 2 teams play a 3 game series.
@@brianmeen2158 Most parents complain about having to stay a week in PA (hotel costs, etc). So your idea would be to play more games--so would either have to be extended an extra week, or jam more games into the same week--but then pitching becomes an issue, because your pitchers have to have so much rest. So again, wouldn't work, unless you want to see teams 4th and 5th pitchers (if they even have those...).
Hey I’m the first real comment thanks wheels
Nothing worse than a bronze medal game after eliminated
Wow texas just handed them the game
LLWS seriously needs to invest in better chumpire crews. Balls and strikes suffered horribly all week...
Venezuela is the way better team pretty obvious
Dude they were 1 pitch away from losing
@@roryh2241 player wise, their players are way more skilled it’s pretty obvious, Texas is lucky to have been so close
yeah thats true, Venezuela had a few wild pitches in the 1st that gave Texas 3 runs. Then they settled down. TBH though, the Top International teams are definitely more skilled and fundamentally sound than the top US teams in comparison.
@@Appllespiee2
That's not how it works. You're thinking of lottery players
If Texas had their actual ace pitcher, Venezuela would not have scored a run
Venezuela is an academy, those are prohibited by LL. They should check better next time.
I am so confused. Didn’t Venezuela beat Chinese Taipei and they should play Florida? What did I miss?
Never mind. I remember now. They lost.
Little League changed it's double elimination format to give the Southwest a fair chance
How do you mean? Texas were in the winner's bracket undefeated until yesterday.
If there was fairness, Florida should have to beat Texas twice in order to get to the championship game.
There are two massive problems with the tournament. One: it's an unbalanced field so that some teams have to play a 1st round game and others get a sort of bye into the 2nd round. Why? No reason. Unfair. They need a way to whittle this down to 8 ... or bump it up to 16. Two: it's a double elimination tournament all the way up to the most important game, where the design allows the tournament to end with two 1-loss teams and no clear "best team."
You realize it's been like this for a very long time, right?
the rule was changed yesterday. Now Southwest plays Asia Pacific
It’s hard to watch these kids acting like the disrespectful adults they watch. At least the pros have made a living at it. Most of these kids won’t play past high school
TX team, weak coaching of basics…..
Wow last years Texas and this year did the same thing beat the team that would go on to beat them in the US championship the lose this game
Texas got cheated with that double elimination rule..in the us championship I get it but that’s just not right there should’ve been a second game between Texas and Florida for the us championship. Winner take all makes since only for the World Series championship game. Then it shouldn’t be double elimination if it’s not double elimination
Trigger warning to woke Democrats: players are seen kneeling in prayer before the game (shown in middle of this video).
☝️🤗🇻🇪⚾🙌
How to give a game away……weak on the fundamentals and hustle.
They should have just not had this game
Texas Should have won it all. They ran out of pitchers against Florida and I would say they got outcoached even though the Texas Coach is great.
It is this umpire at the plate who should have officiated yesterday during the semi-final (Venezuela- Taiwan), we would then have had a good, fair and interesting match!
In all the games the umpire has been key, just as yesterday he was unfair to Venezuela, in the games against Japan and Mexico he marked the strike zone wider in favor of Venezuela and there it remained, In short, they were bad, sometimes they were beneficial and sometimes they were harmful.
Well said
Boring, going through the motions, no energy, no one cared
That’s typical of third place Games.
I would never in my life play a game for third place
because you'd be out way before then
Bronze medal is still a medal, and if you have fun playing the game it’s another game to play
Ever heard of a Bronze medal.
That's a podium finish mate
