As a Pilates instructor I love that you include postural cues! You have such a lovely manner, knowledgeable but friendly and accessible. Glad I found you.

Fantastic video -- best hand advice. Always told to 'close the thumb' but you clarified it's the first joint to gently pinch. Always been told to relax the fingers but the hand was craving a slight pulling of the middle finger rather, big difference! Tysm

Thank you so much for making this! As an adult beginner I've always struggled with my port de bras (so many limbs to coordinate...) and this has just been incredibly helpful! Your entire channel is wonderful, I'm always looking for new creators to watch, especially in the ballet world, and you are so authentic and kind and just a pleasure to watch. You definitely deserve a lot more subscribers because your videos are some of the most helpful I have come across!
I hope you have a lovely day!

Can you give more detail on how your fingers are in the positions I have trouble with that

The fingers should stay delicate and soft, there can be a slight separation between the first and second finger, the thumb should stay close to the hand (in European styles). I can’t remember if I talk about hands in my other port de bras video 🙈 ruclips.net/video/DScnSJL7bGg/видео.html

I Natalie :) First of all, thank you for this nice video.
I am a french dancer and I notice that you say "Bras bas" I guess? I noticed this in other videos too but ... in France we would say "Preparation" for this position 😄 in more than 20 years of ballet I never eared someone say "Bras bas" in ballet class
What do you think about it?
    Have a beautiful day

There are many different variations of vocabulary depending on the country. For RAD they use bras bas ☺️
