Fasting is for joyous occasions. It is forbidden to fast these days, for we fast for the pleasure of Allah. We are in morning. Though we take no pleasure in eating and drinking in these days, we differentiate ourselves from the enemies of Ahlul Bait at this time: for while they rejoice we cry and morn the loss of our Imam Allahuma sali ala Muhammadin wa ale Muhammad
