We are never too old for dolls. There will always be people who need drama. All you can do is ignore it...and don't feed into it. The drama should be non-existent when it comes to dolls. People need to not worry about what other people are buying with their own money. It's nobody's business but theirs. It isn't the responsibility of us collectors to make sure the sculptors and artists get paid. Isn't the reason most of us collect dolls because they make us feel happier? I’ve always been a nerdy outsider and have put up with a lot of bullying and ridicule as well when I was in school. I didn’t particularly want to belong with the “cool kids,” but I didn’t appreciate the snarkiness from them either. Now at almost 73 years of age, I couldn’t possibly care less about anyone else’s opinion about anything unless it involves violating the rights of others, and I wear my nerdiness as a badge of honor. I do prefer reborn art dolls. That is what I enjoy collecting. I don't have a problem with what other people collect. People should be able to collect what they want to collect. What they can afford to collect. And just leave people alone. And that goes for both sides. I walked into this mess 3 years ago and it's still going on.
I was poor growing up too. I agree this doll difference or whatever they wanna call it. It's just bullying being done as adults. I work very hard for every dime I make and nobody is telling me how or what to spend my money on. It's Absolutely ridicules. Keep being you my friend. I have went through and cleaned up my you tube channels. People who judge others just got unsubscribed. In doing this I have found and made a lot of really good friends, good folks who respect others.

Your video reminded me of something that happened when I was a preschool teacher. I caught three little girls ganging up on one little girl. They were telling her that her shoes and clothes weren’t as good as theirs. The little girl was so sad. I was horrified to see children so young behaving like this. You know they must have picked this behavior up from their parents. It’s something to think about. Children are always watching you. It was a good opportunity for me as a teacher to talk to the kids and make them think about what they were doing, why they said mean things and how they made the little girl feel.
Leisha this was a great video. I enjoyed hearing how you truly feel about the situation. I enjoy all dolls and I have always said it's not about the dolls it's about good people. There are some channels and people who should be ashamed of themselves for there childish bad behavior. My response to these idiots is usually "Whatever!". My attitude with my replicas is going to be the same. I grew up poor but got my inheritance but its slowly going away and i haves bought expensive dolls and duplicates i dont care i will buy what ever i like or can afford at the time to. As for now i can't afford any fancy expensive dolls so i am having to sell some for moving purposes and it's depressing me but I have to do what I've got to do. I am being cussed out about my prices some people say i am crazy but i needs the money and i paid alot for them. Its so hard to sell them now so i am not or am trying not to buy anymore or at least the more expensive skulpts because their hard to resale. But i would never judge someone either for what they buy because i grew up poor to and was extremely made fun of to being Native American Indian and extremely poor was a very hard for me growing up in a very very prejudice town to called Bishop California. It's still the same way their to. I may be a half breed Native American Indian but i was still taughnted and even beat up to. My late mom was my moma bear and my late brother was my baby bear when my late mom found out someone beat me up she would go and beat them up to and said if they said anything she would beat them up again so they never said anything same with my brother. Back then their were no cameras so my late mom and brother got away with protecting me back in the eighties. Anyways my channel is a safe channel and i grew up with a tough skin so if anybody says anything it really doesn't bother me as much only my family can hurt my feelings. Also it would depend on the situation and if i were really close with someone else as a good friend and then they could hurt me so i limit my friends or keep my shell up so no one can hurt me as my late brother said trust no one. I think hes right in some ways.
Excellent video, Leisha. I've also watched those videos. While I can understand the frustration of the artists I found each of the women to be condescending in their videos. The tone of voice was nothing less than offensive. They each sounded elitest, classist and narcissistic. It's clear each of them including the attacking artists lack empathy for others. They are all behaving this way because they are quickly becoming outnumbered. There are numerous positive, uplifting, fun and creative channels exhibiting their "replica" babies. I appreciated how some offered less expensive doll options however not everyone may like those dolls. No one has the right to tell anyone else what to buy. These classists will never stop because their circle is shrinking and it will only be a select few for them to engage with and their "selective attendee" doll shows will shrink in size. They are clammering for survival. It's absolutely ridiculous. They continue to perpetuate the belief someone would show up with a replica and it's pathetic. Hi Leisha. This was a great video.i started collecting/buying babies last May. I have 7 babies at this time, so my nursery is small I am retired and on a fixed income , so yes I bought my babies on Amazon. I had no idea what the doll community was like or how big it is until I wanted to watch videos of other doll mamas The hurtful comments and attitudes of some really made me not want to be part of them at all. I could not believe that these are Adult Women being so Judgmental I do understand about the artists work and I look at some of the dolls and are in awe of them, but with my income and having four dogs, there is no justification in spending the money that one of these babies cost, and I really don’t care what they think. Your video reminded me of something that happened when I was a preschool teacher. I caught three little girls ganging up on one little girl. They were telling her that her shoes and clothes weren’t as good as theirs. The little girl was so sad. I was horrified to see children so young behaving like this. You know they must have picked this behavior up from their parents. It’s something to think about. Children are always watching you. It was a good opportunity for me as a teacher to talk to the kids and make them think about what they were doing, why they said mean things and how they made the little girl feel.

I grew up poor but got my inheritance but its slowly going away and i haves bought expensive dolls and duplicates i dont care i will buy what ever i like or can afford at the time to. As for now i can't afford any fancy expensive dolls so i am having to sell some for moving purposes and it's depressing me but I have to do what I've got to do. I am being cussed out about my prices some people say i am crazy but i needs the money and i paid alot for them. Its so hard to sell them now so i am not or am trying not to buy anymore or at least the more expensive skulpts because their hard to resale. But i would never judge someone either for what they buy because i grew up poor to and was extremely made fun of to being Native American Indian and extremely poor was a very hard for me growing up in a very very prejudice town to called Bishop California. It's still the same way their to. I may be a half breed Native American Indian but i was still taughnted and even beat up to. My late mom was my moma bear and my late brother was my baby bear when my late mom found out someone beat me up she would go and beat them up to and said if they said anything she would beat them up again so they never said anything same with my brother. Back then their were no cameras so my late mom and brother got away with protecting me back in the eighties. Anyways my channel is a safe channel and i grew up with a tough skin so if anybody says anything it really doesn't bother me as much only my family can hurt my feelings. Also it would depend on the situation and if i were really close with someone else as a good friend and then they could hurt me so i limit my friends or keep my shell up so no one can hurt me as my late brother said trust no one. I think hes right in some ways.

Excellent video, Leisha. I've also watched those videos. While I can understand the frustration of the artists I found each of the women to be condescending in their videos. The tone of voice was nothing less than offensive. They each sounded elitest, classist and narcissistic. It's clear each of them including the attacking artists lack empathy for others. They are all behaving this way because they are quickly becoming outnumbered. There are numerous positive, uplifting, fun and creative channels exhibiting their "replica" babies. I appreciated how some offered less expensive doll options however not everyone may like those dolls. No one has the right to tell anyone else what to buy. These classists will never stop because their circle is shrinking and it will only be a select few for them to engage with and their "selective attendee" doll shows will shrink in size. They are clammering for survival. It's absolutely ridiculous. They continue to perpetuate the belief someone would show up with a replica and it's pathetic. I have 7 babies at this time, so my nursery is small I am retired and on a fixed income , so yes I bought my babies on Amazon. I had no idea what the doll community was like or how big it is until I wanted to watch videos of other doll mamas The hurtful comments and attitudes of some really made me not want to be part of them at all. I could not believe that these are Adult Women being so Judgmental I do understand about the artists work and I look at some of the dolls and are in awe of them, but with my income and having four dogs, there is no justification in spending the money that one of these babies cost, and I really don’t care what they think.
