    Super simple yet bang-on. Optimal breathing + maintaining eye contact on the ball are the cornerstones for building a solid tnns game. Everything else from technique to strategy and confidence are built on top of those.

    I watched this video yesterday and in my lesson today I noticed I was doing exactly as you instructed. I guess my subconscious decided to try it out 😆 It definitely helped me in my mini tennis warmup where I’m usually all over the place as it takes me quite a while to get warmed up and get going. Thanks.

    Really good tip. I used to confuse breathing and the grunt after you hit a ball, and was getting tired super fast. Until a friend mentioned it, and I get tired less faster now. Thank you for the video

    Brilliant! Never realized I was holding my breath on my swings even when I’m serving. I’m hoping this will help me maintain my energy during a match. And sweating less will be an added bonus.

      It takes some experimenting on serve, but normally the exhale starts as you get out of the power position

      @@TopTennisTrainingOfficial I won my match - 4/6 6/1 7/6 (11/9).
      When I got my breathing right I often found I had the upper hand. Although, there were a few long intense rallies after which I realised I was holding my breath throughout. At 10/9 I was convinced that the player who's the most relaxed was going to win. I concentrated on my breathing which helped me remain lucid and finished the point (a lengthy rally) by forcing the error. I had this lesson in my head at the start of that point. 🙏

    Interesting stuff. One would think it should be just automatic. Also can this really be done in the heat of a match? Does it really become second nature if you keep practicing it? Does it make sense to focus only on the exhale part as it’s probably easier than focusing both on inhaling and exhaling?

    • @TopTennisTrainingOfficial
      @TopTennisTrainingOfficial  2 года назад +3

      Definitely doesn’t happen automatically for most players. It takes lots of focus during training until it becomes a habit in matches

    started watching a few of these gems and they are good. I'm curious why this guy seemingly plays with a different racket each time. Odd that, as he is good enough to play with anything but it will disrupt anyone's feel and precision overall...and it's not a good thing. Perhaps they are paying him to play with different rackets but I don't think so... as he has no real branding or mention of it. Odd that he does this overall.....:)
