  • In this video I am going to show you how to approach your core training to make you a better mountain bike rider and human. Rather than a list of exercises called, "MTB Core Workout," which is most of what you will find elsewhere on RUclips, I aim to give you an understanding of what we are trying to achieve along with a basic model and progression for your own training.
Remember that if you want me to take care of the programme, so you can concentrate on training, then I have a range of online programmes to suit all riders and budgets:

    Good video, thanks bud!
In your Vital interview, you talked about bracing and keeping your truck in good form through a long DH. Will these methods help improve that? Or will there need to be some back exercises I need to add?

Also, as a follow up, I am hunched over at a desk all day. Should I buy a standing desk instead of a new rear shock that I don't need? :)

Hey mate, yes this is a part of the process to improving that posture on long tracks. Nothing in isolation though, as you will still need strong legs, hips, back and upper body. It is all part of a big system that needs to work together.

@@stevenparisi And get up and walk around more and be more aware of your posture at the desk.
