Ice is one of those guys who usually has an incredible line every battle, sometimes a handful, but as is the case with a lot of battle rap, I don't get half of what he says. But to me it's always worth it to catch the jewels he has. I can remember some battles, like the quarantined RBE round, where the whole way through he was hitting, and when that happens it carries more weight than some run of the mill gun bar artist. What's important to consider is, Ice basically never forgets his shit. I can't remember the last time that's happened. And he was still retrieving a lot of it. Tournament just ups the difficulty for having everything down pat. That all said it's good to see Xcel killing it right now. He has always stood out to me as far as being much more creative and thorough in his bar construction. For example, elder buried would be generic, except he extended the play with immune to his bullshit, and a lot of battle rappers don't go that extra step in continuity because they're impatient. I remember Xcel struggling with performances earlier in his careers, it's great to see his battles going this well now. Good battle.
I agree about Ice being a reliably prepared. Whatever criticisms I have about most of his bars being average in this particular battle -- he's usually done better in recent years, to be fair -- I always give him his props for being ready to rap. He, Goodz, Hollow, Big Kannon and Young Kannon come to mind as the battle rappers with the best records of non-choking. And I hope I didn't just jinx it cuz we don't need ANY mo... Jersey. 🤣

Xcel was always sick AF but you can tell now that he finally feels fully confident in his approach and unique style to battling so his overall delivery Aura and bars come across even better and he's been spitting some his best shot on top of that.
