- This video is from 28 May 2016. I found it on an old SD card, and it shows Aamena's successful bail-in skill. This is a required skill with Scuba Educators International that encourages problem solving under pressure.
It almost looked as if you were going to have that other diver do the bail in with Aamena.

@@GabrielleGabrielli My "Shop" has took about 3 months for the OW Certification last year. And again this year. It's a pain. As I am trying to get advanced enough to go Diving with a Special Lady in my life
@@GabrielleGabrielli Work changed my Location and Schedule. Only Diving I have done this year was the Lake Cleanup. I'm Hoping maybe I can go on my Birthday(Aug 18)
What is the point of this. Can someone explain the reasoning behind gearing up underwater.
It helps with problem solving, staying cool under pressure, thinking through things, and being safe.
I was actually going to ask the same question!, I have recently taken up diving here in the UK and at no point during any of my sessions has anyone mentioned that it is a "requirement" to gear up underwater. not only is the notion decidedly odd but surely given how heavy the BCD and cylinder are there is the danger that someone could be injured if the "bail in" went wrong (i.e hitting someone with a cylinder whilst underwater!), I can understand how it can help with problem solving but equally I think it could cause undue stress to someone who is less then confident!.
@@oliverlee-os6tr Every agency has their own requirements. This is a requirement with Scuba Educators International, and it is in our standards to teach it. There have been no incidents whatsoever with this skill. in all the years this has been an SEI (formerly YMCA) requirement. The students are closely supervised, and there is no undue danger. Nobody has ever been hit with a cylinder, and if that is a concern, then there are many other times students could get hit with cylinders while diving. it definitely helps them with problem solving skills. If students can do this skill, they are better prepared to manage stress while diving.
Do you think that she have a lot difficulty because i see that her wetsuit is so large and a lot of air on it ?
No. That didn't make much of a difference.
I was thinking the same thing that wetsuit is way too big for her. Looks like she needs a medium and that's like a large.

This is ridiculous in an open water course.
Ridiculous? As in if people can do this, it won't help them?
