Nice vlog คุณวี👍 1.) When I was young, I really liked ‘น้ำลำไย’ (Longan juice). Now I’m a grown-up, I prefer ‘น้ำตะไคร้’ (Lemon glass juice) because of the same reason you said. Longan juice is freaking sweet. Try lemon glass juice if you can. It’s astringent in the first taste, but you’ll get a mellow sensation few seconds later. 2.) You’d better pronounce it “Mae-klong” river (แม่น้ำแม่กลอง) otherwise people will get confused it with “Mekong” river (แม่น้ำโขง) which is a boundary river between Thailand & Laos. The similarity how they sound is pretty annoying for non-natives, I know.☹️ 3.) Yeah … cathedral means วิหาร/ มหาวิหาร which depends on how significant that place is. Unlike church or chapel which mean โบสถ์. 4.) It would be great if you gave an explanation what’s the difference between Catholic & Christian ? Catholic = Catholic follower / Christian is used for Protestant follower. Is my understanding correct ? 5.) Waiting for the video elaborating why you’ve returned to Thailand & for how long will you stay ? What’s the achievement you’re aiming before you’ve done with Thailand & leave to England ?
@@parasitius Whatever you’re comfortable to say to your children is your own business. But I’m pretty sure “You’d better …” is a common suggestion. Kuhn Vee is not a Thai native, so I advised her to pronounce the words correctly. On the other hand, she knows I’m not an English native either. I’d checked with an English native before I replied & it’s not that I have a massive ego that I’m easily irritated. But the way you suggested me by saying “I wouldn't dare use language like that on anyone but my own children.” Sorry if I didn’t feel your intention was sincere. Was it necessary to suggest anyone with a sarcasm ? I don’t know if you’re an English native ? But mocking a non-native is quite rude.

I was even confused myself in the video because as I was saying it I thought "that can't be right...isn't the Mekong far from here?" 😂😂 so similar! 3) ahhh thank you again, I never learnt the word for cathedral so it is good to see it written down! 4) yes that is basically right, I was also taught that techniclly Christian is the overarching umbrella for all faiths believing in God so technically Catholics would also be Christians but I feel like that isn't strictly true in how we identify ourselves 5) video is a work in progress! Thank you for the comment, personally I took it to mean "you're better off pronouncing it etc." Which is a fairly common way of making a suggestion where I'm from so no harm done 😊😊🙏🏽🙏🏽
As a British English native speaker, I can confirm "you'd better" or you're better off" are common ways to make a suggestion, so I wouldn't worry about it - i fully understood and appreciated your intent and meaning 🙏🏽😊🙏🏽
