Hey Nora, thanks for watching - unfortunately I don’t make tutorial videos, but I’ve got the capo on fret 4 and I’m mostly play Em then C then a D chord played by sliding the C shape up by two frets, then back to C then hitting the G then A bass notes before going back to Em. The song pretty much loops so it’s just that over and over again!
@@noradavidian6661 not sure if you still need this but in case anyone else wants it... the plucking is in 8/4 time with an alternating bass note, the 2nd note is always the open G (capo'd 3rd fret, but transposes easily.. Johnathan went up for vocal range maybe). Starts with Em chord shape, although you only need the 3rd string 2nd fret for the plucking (need to hold full chords when strumming obviously). Pluck down with your thumb and up with a finger, either index or middle, but only use thumb and one finger. Pluck strings with the chord held down, on an 8 beat timing with 4 sets of two notes: 1, 4, 3, 4, 1, 4, 3, 4, (x2 more times) Use the thumb to alternate between the 1 and 3, it will help you keep the beat. The thumb should maintain the steady beat of the song. Then change to C shape, namely 2nd fret 3rd string and 3rd fret 2nd string. Plucking is almost identical: 2, 4, 3, 4 2, 4, 3, 4 (x2 more) Then slide the C shape up two frets, 2nd string 7rh fret, 3rd string 6th fret. Same exact picking pattern. Slide back down to C again, same plucking except on the last best (4 notes) you change to play a G on the first string, C shape 2, 4, 3, 4 2, 4, 3, 4 2, 4, 3, 4 now change to hold just 3rd fret 2, G 1, 4, 2, 4 Then back to Em and repeat it all. On certain verses he changes that last transition G to going back up to the 7th fret C shape again for that one beat. When the song gets more intense the alternating thumb plucking pattern is crucial because you can start to strum down with your thumb on the bass notes for emphasis while maintaining the rhythm. Really amazing song for how easy it is to play.
this is masterpiece, I might be late but it's amazing
Thank you so much!
