Wednesday - WWIII, get your preps. Thursday-social unrest, get your preps. Friday - some German politician said something, get your preps. Saturday-expect major power outages, get your preps. Sunday- an insider at Target said something, get your preps. The same thing every day with a different headline. Best of luck to you and keep up the good work.
I'm subscribed to The Patriot Nurse, Survival Lilly and Tommy's Carolina homestead. Canadian Prepper and Popular Preparedness show up on my feed frequently. I'll watch a little occasionally but you're right, these and many others out there preach doom & gloom, prepare now!
I think the person that posted that comment is spot on. While there are serious current events that we should be monitoring, those larger channels are always blowing them out of proportion, or jumping to the worst possible conclusion, for the sake of "clicks"/ watch time. What's worse, a lot of the smaller channels are doing the same in order to "build" their channel. It's very obvious and sad. I'm reminded of the movie Field of Dreams. If you build it they will come. Put up good quality content and the views will happen. Cover the news and state facts as much as possible (what a concept) and let the viewer draw their own conclusions. Stop all the fear mongering and doomsday opining.

Agree, many are just overhyping everything, and at times it feels they make things up on the spot!! So I have stopped watching anything that feels it's not being authentic, or that they have not done any real time research of their own before uploading anything.
Don't let the trolls get to you. You do a great job. Hold your head up high because your not like alot of the other prepper channels. Your honest and don't push selling things and I really appreciate that.

Your spot on! That is one of the main reasons I stopped watching about 90% of the RUclips prepping channels. Too many of them whine and cry put on a big show, then try to sell you something. I want the facts not a drama personal speculation show. Thank you you’re on the right track

I agree, I started watching prepping channels more recently for news, info, etc because of world events. I guess a lot of other people have done the same. At first you might get hooked in with some of these channels and then it becomes repetitive. Canadian prepper does have a good personality for media and is a good talker so he will get a lot of views. Yes it is funny when a old video from the past comes up from one of these channels to watch and it sounds just the same as the current ones like nothings new. I pay for RUclips premium to get rid of the adds. RUclips is my main streaming service so worth the money. I enjoy watching peoples content they put up on youtube (such as yourself) and news. It is a great platform.
I watch your videos, Poplar Preparedness (his Dave Hodge-esque shilling is a tad annoying), Canadian Prepper (mostly only the news videos), Full Spectrum Survival (generally the first half of each video - after that its pretty repetitive), SouthernPrepper1, German Prepper, Magic Prepper. All of their content is typically very good. I stopped watching City Prepping, Dave Hodges and Pinball Preparedness. No one is being forced to watch a channel, and if you don't like the info, presentation or content, simply move on to someone else.
You mean you've mastered the art of counting Eggs, if so you can subscribe to his "Hardcore Preppers" channel where he teaches you how to multiply and devide the Eggs.
A couple other notable sites I visit regularly are DIY Prepper TV and Alaska Granny - both well presented. And Richard, please do more videos like your evacuation and hiking vids. They were very informative and enjoyable.

Hello DGS. I watched your vid on the television and then came over here to the computer to reply. That's when I spotted your clickbaity thumbnail. Haw! Seriously, this is a five star plus for ya. I'm of the belief that not only did you do yourself some good but the whole prepper YT industry as well. Having been there and done the internet marketing thing for several years (in the past) I can confirm that in my case it wasn't completely all about the clicks. I presented accurate info and let the chips fall where they did. Money received by nefarious means just wasn't a thing with me. Success is more than clicks. There is something called 'principle' which in the end is more important. Not all agree, for sure. As you well know your ethics and mine in this matter coincide perfectly. You keep doing what you're doing. Our YT platform here knows that prepper stuff is what we dig so a good chunk of what it places on the page each day is...prepper stuff. We have faulty yt trained that well, anyway. For me personal, I'm in a well defined box. Started watching prepper mess around the first of year and the game plan is to be diligent until the end of the year. That's the box. So far we have already gleaned the most useful bits of prepper smarts which has allowed us to do what needed to be done. A few new ideas come down the pike once in awhile now that needs be applied, but the bulk is behind us. In my think the most dangerous period is today through the end of the year. IF we make it past December with no major SHTF scenario wrapping around us I may cool my jets a bit on prepper channels. That's me. Don't plan to make a career out of it. When prep study ceases to be useful and we're still glued to it then it becomes obsession, and that ain't me. Still, so far, so good. Yes, a very important video. UPVOTE!

That’s why I have RUclips premium. I would rather pay 17.00 a month. And not have ads . I just want the meat of the subject. Also I like the Parental controls
unfortunately, a lot of us only wish we had that $17 for food we need. RUclips has millions of viewers. If they charged $2-$3 per month, millions would subscribe to premium. But the prices they have is insane for millions struggling. They world likely get 5x more money if they charged a small fee. Even $1.00 per month from a million people would get them a whopping 1 million dollars every month. How freaking greedy can platforms get??? they already take out a huge % from whatever the video makers earn. I can't even imagine how many millions they make from that alone. RUclips got completely ruined when it became a business. I have no idea who is in it for us and who is in it for the money
