I am currently in the process of revamping my planner system for 2021. I am replacing a Happy Planner Classic planner with a Half Letter which I am putting together piece by piece using various Etsy shops, Cloth and Paper & Jane's Agenda. I found your RUclips channel while trying to find different planner channels to get information and inspiration from outside of the Happy Planner. Nothing against them at all! Just didn't fully work for me. I am using a mini platter as well. This video was amazing! So chalked full of helpful information, websites, Etsy stores....just so much! This is so beautiful! You almost make me want a disc system. I hear ya on the size dilemma. I’m so glad I watched a lot of c+p box vids before my 1st box shipped as it made me change my box preference from A5 to Pocket. I realized the box often includes dated items (I get it now!) I use my A5 for work, put in deadlines and board meeting a full year ahead of time so I need it to be uniform and be able to get my inserts ahead of time. My pocket filofax is for goals and creative pursuits so I don’t mind using different inserts and be more fluid and flexible each month. In fact it is more fun that way.
I was just watching the video and browsing comments and I relate to this soooo hard! Pocket is my “personal” planner where I have everything in it, so the inserts we get in C&P boxes only make sense for my pocket. My personal is my work planner so I only use specific types of inserts in there. But sometimes I consider switching the box to personal only to get some more deco dashboards for it! 😫 but I’m resisting, because the inserts make way more sense for my pocket. I figure I can always find personal size dashboards on the BST or just wait until she releases the sub box stuff to the website 😅
Thanks so much for setting up from scratch, I always wondered what exactly and how a disc system worked, couldn't get my head around it! This would be fantastic for me as I hate having to coil/uncoil or just tear something out, and the amount of times I wish I could do that to my Simplified planner (which I love btw!) is amazing. Need to try discs, I'm in the UK so is a costly process importing due to shipping and then our ridiculous customs charges but need to figure this out, its perfect for my needs (well, ok wants but where's the difference, right!). Beautiful!!! I’m living vicariously through you because I live in Australia, and my July sub box hasn’t arrived yet 😭😭 I wish the monthly dashboards didn’t have the year too - by the time mine arrive they’ll be useless 😭😭
