yeah carbon fiber isn't really designed to be weight bearing like this. They don't bend, so if they do start start to bend they break. That's okay though just use sticks when you're in the woods.
You couldn't be more right! I watch soo many youtube videos, and I swear someone used this technique, but perhaps not with carbon fiber! Good thing I tested it out front in the yard. I think I may take a different approach or another person said they sell some titanium ones that are lightweight, etc. So far, I am 0-2 on toggles, but I won't give up!! lol, Good hearing from you man!
Hmm...interesting...you'll have to show me how that works in a photo or something, I can't picture how you put the prusik on the webbing...maybe I'm thinking of the wrong place?!? I live in Missouri, the Show-Me state, so you gotta show me :)

Do you follow shug? ruclips.net/user/shugemery
I wouldn't go with the carbon fiber, maybe find some solid aluminum rods or titanium... or a Walmart tent stake cut in half...
Ya I think you're right, that's what I'm shooting for next. I'm surprised I wasn't on the ground that night.
And I saved my stock prusiks and put them on my litespeed straps..

Hey I beat Pete to the first comment.
That's quite an accomplishment! In fact, everyone has beat Pete on this one so far, lol!
Well he has been on the river paddling and setting off MRE bombs.
