Fixing a leaky Lewmar Super Hatch

I outline my reasons and repairs to a leaky Lewmar Super Hatch on my Ericson 32-3 (1987) sailboat. Although Lewmar is still making hatches they do not make the Super Hatch anymore nor do they have any replacement parts. A good winter project for any handy sailor.

Thanks for the detailed explanation for the re-sealing. Your old plexiglass actually looked pristine compared to mine. Mine had a lot of UV-damage cracks, but after a lot of sanding (the UV cracks were really deep) I got most of that out.
