Brilliantly detailed tutorial! This was my first time applying a grip tape and thanks to your help, I've done a really decent job. Thanks very much!
You are very welcome. I’m glad it helped :)
Can u puck with it at all when ur doing the linseed oil
Thanks thats really helpful
You are welcome
Just a question, do you put on your grip and tape right after your done oiling it or do you have to wait for it to dry and then you can put the grip and tape on.
Yes definitely wait until it’s completely dry. I’d recommend leaving it at least a day , preferably longer , as the final coat takes the longest to completely dry .
@@taeg_official all right bro thanks alot.
You made hard work of that job bud.
You think so ?
@@taeg_official only pulling the piss friend. Tidy job.
What does the linseed oil help with. Does it make it stronger
Yes it keeps it from drying out and getting weaker. Also stops too much water from getting into it
Deckii I have a wicked light Hurley that can break easily will do you think this will make a difference
@@fragz62 yes it does, you should put linseed oil on all of your hurls.
Class video
Thanks :)
Nice video
Thank you :)
Can u go for a puck with it while ur doing the linseed oil
Yeah, the shaft will be very sticky tho
Does it matter if its boiled linseed oil or raw?
Boiled will absorb into the wood faster I believe, but both will have identical effects
Question: Is the grip and tape removed once a month to apply linseed?
No , it would lose its sticky ness, You can apply it to the rest of the bare wood , and apply more to the Toe ( end of handle ) , the oil will flow through the wood and into the parts covered by the grip over time :)
1 good coat of linseed oil should do it.
How many times do you have to oil it ?
Every day for a week , and then once a month for every month after that
@@taeg_official how long does it take for the oil to dry
why the tape higher up?
It’s definitely not necessary. Some people do it , some don’t . I believe it’s for when it’s heavily raining. The tape is less slippery then the wood then
Helps with your eyeing too when putting the ball on the bas. Personally I feel like it strengthens the hurl abit. Sometimes when ur playing a match and it’s wet the sliotar can get heavier and you don’t get a good connection with the ball I find.
What county you from
From Tipp me self :)
@@taeg_official hon Tipp! Same and thanks for the video, it helped me out
