    John 14 6
Is Jesus lying when He says. "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, but by Me"

I suppose I am a classic example of one who insinuates that Catholicism is the only way, the narrow path, the actual body of Christ, the sacraments, etc and not willing to be distracted by other gardens; after all, the path is hard and long for a lapsed Catholic who tried other religions once upon a time, but when I encounter another religion of those few Christians (Protestants) who want to dialogue, I become embittered internally that they can’t hear me, or aren’t understanding me and finally mad at myself for not being able to articulate with enough verve to bring them home to Catholicism. I am a snob. And, I feel happy with it, while sad for others. There is tension. Agreed. If we don’t take the opportunity to strongly encourage the other to attend Catholic Mass rather than looking curiously into their Mass or ritual, we miss the chance to carry our cross. I want to be a saint. I can’t placate another - or dummy down Catholicism for their sake. Catholicism is hard. It is arduous. There is no grey, but I can provide an example by how I live in this difficult world. If their way proved to me the peace joy and hope that I have, then I would be curious. Thus, for me, tolerance of othered is required yes, but more proof is required by how we live as Catholics. Less talking. More proving. Pope Francis proves he loves all, but he does not ever waver from Catholicism, our beautiful sacred Scriptures and Traditions. And he is full of the joy, hope and peace of perfectly fulfilling his mission from God. I hope to do the same in my way. Thank you for the opportunity provided here to listen.

Dear Fathers. Can please explain what our Lord Jesus meant in John 3:18

Out of the 12 apostles of Jesus Christ, it was believed that 11 died horrible deaths - they were willing to lay down their lives for Jesus Christ knowing that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life (Jesus Christ did not say He is one of the ways - He said THE WAY). Stephen was stoned to death for his belief (Acts 7). And the apostle James was executed as recorded in Acts 12:1-2 (becoming the first martyr). Throughout the centuries, countless Christians were martyred for their beliefs. What did they die for? They died knowing this: " Instead, they were longing for a better country-a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them." Hebrews 11:16. May I humbly request all of my fellow brethren to read the Bible. The answer is all there.

Exactly...Jesus said that the way to destruction is wide & many are travelling on it, yet, narrow & straight is the way that leads to life & there are few that find it.
If as the Pope claims that all religions lead to God then the coming of Christ to be our Saviour by shedding His Blood for our redemption & rising from the dead for our justification will be purely redundant, since all religions already lead us to God.
If we were to follow the words of the Pope that all religions lead to God, then what sense would John 3:16 & John 14:6 make? The coming of Christ was specifically a divine choice of the Father out of His pure love for mankind (John 3:16) & Jesus as God the Son clearly claimed that He & He alone is able to bring mankind to God (John 14:6).
The beauty of the truth in John 14:6 is further confirmed in Acts 4:12 which clearly states that, "for there is no other name given under heaven by which we may be saved, expect the name of Jesus." To profess the idea & the philosophy that all religions lead to God brings one into the possibility of professing belief in universalism. Amen

Read John 3:16, John 14:6 & Acts 4:12...Jesus is the only way to the Father & His Blood alone is the only way that provides redemption. To follow the idea of the Pope that all religions lead to God is nothing more that to profess belief in universalism.

4:27 Is there a need to bend double to be inclusive? In our discussions with non-Catholics, the other party would no doubt know we are Catholics by the way we live our lives and the way we behave. We can be upfront with our beliefs and not compromise. We can begin dialogue by pointing out the goodness in their faith, which should allow the dialogue to continue. After all, all goodness comes from God. [Genesis 1:31 God saw all he had made, and indeed it was very good.]

This discussion is just the seed that needs to be nourished to grow further. Generally speaking, Catholics hav ghe tendency to be laid back about evangelization. For future podcasts, pls consider how guidelines can be given to Catholics toovercome self doubt & to go forth 3 approach another's garxen but with the armour of G0D to tell others about our garden, the small tiny miracles in our lives, the healing, the ubexpected help with a prayer on our breath. Those personal encounters eith Christ is how we should go about it.

Nostra Aetate is rather recent, 60+years as compared to the Teaching and Tradition.
Evangelisation is a slow process and we need to be patient. We have to find a new non-judgmental way of engaging by thinking, saying and doing what we already believed.
Let us first start by befriending people and let the Holy Spirit work and nudge them to ask “Why you do what you do?”
Many people don’t even know let alone know the Bible. You are the Only Bible they have or ever known. Practice what you preach by word, thoughts and deed of Christ.
In that dialogue, if you dissect carefully you will understand that Pope Francis wants to give Hope that lead to the Truth of who God is.

The main objective of a religion is to worship god. Whether one really worships the true god, it is up to the true God to decide.😂😂😂

In all these discussions since Nostra aetate and Pope Francis Fratelli tutti, humanity have tended to forget or have fostered a culture forgetting in these discussions that in humanity, we are called to be human beings.
Perhaps how human we are and how to approach one another as human persons, needs to be rebased because we live in one world. When humanity is hesitant to share our respective faith traditions that helps us, the human being navigate this turbulent time, perhaps we have not really placed our trust (I.e, faith) in the divine we call God and prefer the way of ideology and division.
God calls us for more, as peoples of this world and if humanity has not learnt from humanity whole history mired with oppression, division, and religious warfare, then indeed we have been a dis-service as Servants of God.

If the Pope says my Christian God and the muslim and other gods are the same , then why should I remain as a Catholic ?. I believe what Jesus said that he is the way to God , " no one comes to the Father except by me".
By right if he has that attitude , he should resign and go be a muslim or some other religion. Don't confuse the Catholics . As it is, a few Catholics in the Church I attended has embraced Islam .
