I had a similar computer as a student with a huge monster GPU around 2006. I got it as a scrapped PC, nobody was able to install anything on it. I've successfully installed AIX on it first, then Debian (serial & ssh only) as the GPU was not supported. The display adapter was a real pain in the ass as it was only supported by AIX. As I remember, it was a GXT2000.
Great Video! It's good to watch this machine working (real hardware)... I have the rom and I emulate it using qemu to run AIX 5.1...! Awesome machine! Please do a follow up video troubleshooting Windows NT 4.0
very cool, being so similar to the 7248 imagined that someone will manage to run it. Tried to do the same to OS/2 PPC but don't have any SCSI drivers on it manged to run it on the 7248 that have IDE only.
Hi. Sorry to refer back to your older videos, but do you know where I can get a copy of "Red Hat Linux Advanced Workstation 2.1 IA64" or "HP-UX 11i v2" for use with a zx6000/rx2600 itanium system. Thanks.
The smartest thing I've heard to getting money out of these ancient pieces of questionably useful equipment. I have made consistently $200 on average per VRC commission since the start of the year.
@@pawsinmyface4560There was a port of Alias to AIX so it definitely could be done on PPC if you track down a copy. CAD software could be used like CATIA, possibly Unigraphics, and make inanimate obiects for VRChat. Who knows.
It wouldn’t surprise me one bit in the slightest given the common trend with RUclipsrs nowadays regardless of their audience size: make videos on their main channels for years on end, make a second channel, have something happen to them, and abandon their main channel and permanently make content on their secondary channels.
now to find software that can run on NT PPC🥴

Great work! Please do a follow-up once you get the networking figured out

I'm gonna guess that you are a Sagittarius.
You're that former Kiwifarms moderator that had an autistic feud with Byuu, aren't you?
