Whitehall Truck 3631 Responding to Working Fire

- During a Severe Lightning Storm the Whitehall Fire Department was dispatched to a working structure fire at the Township Building. This was the Fourth call for Station 36 during the storm. This is video of the Truck 3631 responding with helmet cam roof work .
LOL. Their reaction at knowing that they had a "worker" is priceless! True smoke eaters! Stay safe!
I love the reaction when they hear that a working structure fire has been confirmed.

Working fire are always fun specialy when its a rush. because when we have working fire all the boys are ready and let me tell you were all over the place fighting the blaze and we leave all together hoping that we don't get injured in those crazy blaze.... good job on the video i like it

thats an opticom system, it allows emergency vehicles such as a firetruck or ambulance or police to pass through the lights without having to be delayed.
@tornadofreak1994 The tones on the radio set off the pagers worn by the responders, each set of 2 tones activates a specific unit/stations pagers. Pagers go off, then function as a one way radio so that the responders can hear the location to respond to, reason of response, and copy down directions... all depending on local protocols for calling out responders.
Almost as exciting as it was the first time!

not so much a town hall, its the municipal building, where they store the township trucks.
this fire happened just a few months before i joined the department, i was in the area the day this happened

Sounds like once you guys heard of a confirmed fire, everyone got pretty excited.
I hear the Q. I know on all our trucks the Q is on the officer side of the truck. It seems to let off every 30 secs or so, but I agree that he needs to hit the big red switch that says "Siren Brake" every now and then.

What was the caus of this fire? How did it get through the roof so fast? Did you guys bail out on the roof work? I heard some thing about a hole in it and that's not good? You made good time in the rain. I bet you like that Opticom (mirt)! I live in Minnesota home to 3M. FD's around hear use opticom dose some thing kepps green or make it green for emergency units. We even have the white indicator or command lights on the light poles. Thks for sharing. BE SAFE!

@tornadofreak1994 the wiseling is the SCBA (there air unit) going off...... if you dont move for 30 sec ( i belive) it gose off and gets louder if you dont respond to it ..... its to help people find you if you get traped in the building .. it also sounds if you are running low on air... hope this helps :)
The noise was from a leaking high pressure connection at the cylinder. You are thinking of a pass device.
There's a button in the truck that change the light from red to green, or so it stays on green. It's called a mirt.

@clarka97 From the look of the video given off by the second camera, I think it's a helmet cam. The audio's WAY too muffled, and it bouces around like its on someones head Cheers
Are those Opticoms you guys have on your traffic lights?
Yes that is was you were seeing flashing on the traffic signals. Some of the systems have a visual warning system so you know if you have the priority.

lol the side of firefighters the public doesnt know. whenever we hear the words flames showing everyone gets super excited. as showin by the "fuck man holy shit guy" which is then followed by everyone laughing. if only the general public knew how crazy we all really are haha

The reason was that there was a worming fire at the whitehall municipal building but there was a smoke investigation thats why there were so many tones
yea but still did you hear when they started to go on the roof? their poles were poking holes in it. Idk bout you but I wouldnt wanna walk on something that unstable.

The reason was for traffic on the other side of the road to see that a fire truck was going to a fire so its better for all crews in a fire truck to respond
