- This little guy may be the youngest adventurer to ever hike the entire Appalachian Trail - and he’s only 5 years old! Harvey Sutton’s father, Josh, told Inside Edition that their family had watched a video about a kid who hiked the entire 2,190-mile trail at just under 6 years old, and realized they could beat that record. The family started their historic journey in Georgia back in January and completed the trail, ending in Maine. Harvey had plenty of sweets to keep his energy up. #InsideEdition
This kid hiked more at once than most adults walks in a month.
🥲
In a year
That is just adorable and surprising to watch.
Well duh in like 209 days :/ who walks 209 days in 30 days 🚶♂️🙄

That’s incredible! He’s going to have quite the story when the teacher asks what he did over the summer.
No, hes sus. We should eject him
@@ruthlessuk6313 you’re a sussy Baka lmao
Yeah it’s very cool what he did :D
@@ruthlessuk6313 jealous
@@saraswinerton7202 How?
wow. he’s a strong boy
Unbelievably proud to see a kid out there doing real things, making goals and finishing them! I'm so happy to see a kid outside and without a device in their face!!💙
"Skittles!"
Shows footage of kid running and hooting like a hopped up sugar junkie...
😜
Almost exactly 10 miles/day. That's a very slow pace for thru hikers on the AT. Then again, most hikers aren't 5 freaking years old! Well done Harvey!
Sounds terrible
like 3 times as many steps
That's awesome! He'll remember that for the rest of his life! Now Mom and Dad have to come up with the next adventure!
Wow. I had no clue how long that trail was until they said Georgia to Maine & 209 days. o.O That is amazing.
He's a cool lil guy😉
As someone who has hiked the whole thing that’s very impressive
How was it like
@@fruityjamika9032 long days lots of mosquitoes
What month did you start?
@@SoloMarcoPolo March 31st
When he was laying down singing.. 😭☺️ My heart. TFS.
Did they save up money and then take a year off of work?
Yes it's very common on the trail if you do a thru hike, some people quit their jobs to do it or have no job at all, some people even take a few weeks off work to complete sections of it at a time
COVID 😒
I’ve seen a lot of cool stuff in my lifetime but I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that a 5 yr old hiked ALL THE WAY. I’d be rolling around on the ground and crying 10 minutes into the hike
This kid is gonna have some stories to tell when he starts school this Friday
That's going to be such a core memory, all kids should go on adventures
i can barely do a 2 hour hike
I feel tired already imagining the journey he went on 😅
Where u from?
Just 5 years old and he's already taken more steps in life than I have at 30
Young kid with big dreams! I’m happy for his accomplishment you just inspire me lil man thanks alot….
You think any of this was his idea?
That's awesome. I'm in Franklin NC now and I was at Wayah Gap yesterday. Way to go kid!
Awww so adorable 🥰
Congrats young man
Wonderful!!
Watched all of their videos. Outstanding!
Wow this is so cool, good job kid!
Amazing 👏 👏 👏
Awesome!
This kid is a real life tin tin 🧗♂️
Awwww itss cutee. Wow props to his parents thooo for carrying like all of the heavy things for that long wow. Thank God everything went well
I am very proud of this kid, this is something that not a lot of kids can do
Awesome 👍
I swear at the end when she said Harvey what did you do at the very end, he said took pinch hits... 🤣
BLESSED😇!
Wow congrats pal
Well done little man! 👍
Aww he is cute and precious keep going!
When they finished he said let's start over 🤣
This gives me hope for humility
Wow parents. Tell me you have time on your hands without telling me you have time on your hands.
Me at five: Couldn't even master jacks.
Unreal!
Wow respect.
Tremendous !
Him hiking the entire trail is an understatement
What amazing childhood memories!!!
Cool Kid
Well done little man well done!!
That is super hard and super fun for a little kid. He probably loved it though. It's like all the way to Maine
That is pretty awesome even for a kid his age what an accomplishment😄✌
God bless him
Wow that's impressive!
Awesome
209 days.... must be nice to have all the time in the world to do this
Lol this kids the best! Planned to thru hike but couple miles short of hot springs this April I flew my ass home and limped around for 3 weeks. Good job guys👏👏👏
I thought that track was going to be difficult for him but he challenged it right to the end well done !
WaoooGod bless him great video 🤘🤘🤘🤘👍👍👍
Woah!!!
Wow this kid is doing better then me
Good for you little dude. You all should go for the Pacific Crest line or coast as well : ) it's an adventure
I can’t even walk up my stairs
Sounds like fun maybe I should try it. Sees the length of the trail 🤯
I like how they basically admitted they only hiked the trail so their 5 year old can be another little kid lmao...society
Wat u mean
Anything is possible when you have ✨family✨
The power of ✨Family✨
dom terreto would agree
And money
He’s so cute!
He isn't the first and he isn't the youngest. It's a long slog, but if he actually enjoyed it in a non competitive way, terrific. See if he wants to do another trail or if he's had enough.
In California lots of families have hiked the John Muir and the Pacfic Crest trails. It's a wonderful gift to give a kid, but leave the competition out of it. Do it for love.
I always wanted to do it until I saw all the missing, murdered and injured people. I will have to pass on this.
Bring a pistol. 10mm or 44mag is always a good choice, works well on 2 legged and 4 legged threats. And go with a group, preferably 4 people total that way if things get rough and someone wants to turn back they won't have to go alone and the 2 other people can continue
This kid is completely built differently no joke, if he can hike the whole Appalachian Trail at age 5, he can climb Mt. Everest when he turns 16
He's the cutest little guy ever, so adorable.
Kids have enough energy to do this hike. 😆 so I'm not surprised he could do it.
And me here dying climbing up a flight of stairs...
Way to make me feel unaccomplished kid
Now his goal with his kids in the further is to do in in less time with his 3 year old 190 days ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾 awesome
i bet he caught some badass pokemon
Wow! I want to do that
Pretty cool.
How did he do school?
ngl when I climbed the Appalachian trail for 3 miles i died Idk how this young fellow did but CONGRATS!!!
Try hinking Arizona the grand canyon or the mountains in Arizona
That's a TOUGH LIL dude. Congratulations
I wonder if his parents would consider researching the Rocky Mountains, now that would be an even longer trek.
Yeah, any 5 year old that can last that long NEEDS to be outside. All. The. Time. Because he clearly doesn't get tired. Can you imagine trying to get that little monster to bed without wearing him out first?
Aw congrats
Who else thought of family guy when they climbed Mount Everest
Wait until a 4 year old completes it.
Meanwhile my kids cant even walk through the mall without whining lol 😂
Can't forget about the story of Dennis Martin
My kid checked the mail today
INCREDIBLE !! WTG ~ I can't make it to the neighbor store ~
Incredible job babysitting for 2,200 miles!!!
Plot twist kid & his family hiked a mountain in 4 months.
Wait why is he starting on Friday? Did they force the kid to do the trail instead of his 4 first days of school?!
My parents did this every day to go to school.
There was actually a family that hiked the entire trail, and their youngest was 2 at the time, so this 5 year old technically is far from being the youngest to thru-hike the AT! The family I mentioned documented the whole thing @fightfortogether
Harvey was the youngest that was never carried. He hiked it. Rainier Crawford was carried by family members. Harvey also summited Katahdin which the Crawford's were not allowed to do
@@madratterWhy couldn’t they hike the summit?
And he probably still doesn’t want to take a nap…
You had to?! Sounds like child abuse.
Skittles, there's your new spokesperson.
How did you pack enough food for 3 for 200+days?
Heys not the youngest….maybe the youngest to be recognized but still not the younger. It’s a great accomplishment either way!
HOW!
