I will try and describe a pulling technique that works great for me (used on inner joint when taken apart) . Go to a pipe fitting supply store and buy two 3/8" beam clamps that are used to hang heavy pipe from I / H beams . Even if you are not familiar with these you will see where I am going . Place the clamp over the edge of the CV hub directly opposite each other and tighten the set screws into the boot groove then bolt a 6-8 " piece of chain between the two clamps . I usually connect another piece of chain to the center of the short one and put a weight on the end of it and snap it to create a pulling motion . This is cheap but works great .
Agree Rhinos are no better than stock. Been through two sets front and rear and will never buy again. Great video! Thanks!
Thank you for making this i was ready to set this side by side on fire till this video your the man 👍🔥🔥🔥
i had one that i couldnt get out no matter what i tried, so i ended up welding two approx 4 foot peices of rebar on the inside of the remaining part at 3:00 and 9:00 and at the end of those rebar i welded a flat plate between the two rebar. that gave me a flat surface that i could hit with a sledge and what ya know it came out with the first pursuasive hit.
I made a tool that looks just like the axle magic 2
using a slide hammer
except on the end I welded a exhaust clamp that you will tighten down to the axle cup
it helps if the clamp catches the backside of the cup
Make it long so you don't have to take the axle apart
if it's really stubborn
You can attach a ratchet strap to the end of your slide hammer to create tension I use my golf cart to pull from
Jerk the cv shaft with a chain and hammer
If you do break the cv joint then get a bolt to fit inside the chain. Weld the bolt across the cv cup then jerk out with chain and hammer
We have done that but we welded the chain to vise grips and feed the chain through hammer! Just did not make a video if someone get hurt from doing it lol
I have seen someone weld some bar across the remaining shaft the get the slide hammer with a hook attached then whipped it out very quick.
We have done that before; it works just have to be careful it does not hit you when it flings out.
Was it hard to remove bolt on shock in order too pull the axel straight out?
It comes out easy as long as your shock bushing is not messed up
I made an adapter out of 4” pipe tap 3/8 holes welded 1 1/2” strap to both sides an attached the same puller to it after you hit out a few times hit it in and then out it will come
Ratchet strap will fit behind it, hook it wear the tire was attached, and ratchet til it pops off.
Hey man I seen y’all at wildcat today in KY. Looking forward to maybe seeing a video from there.
We are out and doing videos for a copy days then we will post them! Day #1 down and Day #2 is about to start! Maybe we will see you out there today
You at very least have to be pulling the axle perfectly straight out of the hole sir, not on an angle even a tiny bit. i see alot of rust on the unit so soak the axle with PB at the diff. for 1 day 1st..
