No mention of the food itself. Fascinating. It’s not the first time I’ve encountered this. Attention is given to the implements, not to the actual hopefully nutritious and delicious food.
if somebody shows up with purple hair, should they be turned away? or asked to shave their head before entering? shouldn't zen and Buddhism be open to all, even those who dye their hair purple?
@@kylekyle4169 Yeah, I’m of the opinion that if you’re actually a good meditator, you should be able to meditate on the corner of a busy street with all the horns honking and other distractions. Because that’s what life is. Now of course that doesn’t mean it’s not nice or preferable to have a setting conducive to meditation; but colored hair isn’t really on my radar as a major distraction.
Loved and felt the moment of mindful consumption of a meal. Thank you.
There it is! the cure for the stress and anxiety of modern life. There should be centers like this all over the world.

Thank you . . . plan to attend first practice in a few weeks. Helpful to view this offering.
This is interesting, thank you. There's something great in the simplicity and completeness of oryoki that I find really intriguing.

How about making a proper and clear ORYOKI video instead of a general advertisement?
Blue or purple hair should not be allowed. It is very distracting.
