I feel personally hurt by GW after they put a generic slann instead of Kroak in that box. James Workshop personally promised he will give me and excuse to get the mummified frog, but it turns out he was lying.
I can't tell people the savings, as Gee Dubbz seems to increase the prices of these Battleforces set every year. What I _can_ do is give you the prices of the contents of these boxes, and because I'm in a good mood, I'll do the 40K ones here too. AoS Lizard Bois :£202.50 Bonereapers : £187.50 Chaos: £192.50 Soulblight : £192.50 40K Votann : £237.50 Space Marine : £197.50 World Eaters : £210 Beast Snagga :£200 Tyranid : £200 Imperial Guard : £207.50 Now at first glance Votann look to be the best deal over the two systems , with Guard and Lizardmen behind. However I can see GW doing a range of prices for these , the likes of Votann and Lizardmen costing more then say The Space Marine and Bonereaper Battleforce boxes. And imo, the prices will range from £140-£160
The slaves to darkness box is so good! Tempting enough for me as I've wanted to start slaves to darkness as my sigmar army. It's also a hair under 1k points, the army box and vanguard box makes 3 quarters of a whole army
it is indeed a good army. lots of diverse models you can get for it. the single models are basically all wizards and can cast spells and a couple can buff your infantry and heavy units. its my army and i love it.
@@Emidretrauqebecause age of sigmar has always been way less focused on spelling there posterboy, space marines have gotten multiple Christmas battleforces in the same year, the difference in preferential treatment is night and day
@@Emidretrauqe Thankfully AoS spreads out the love across the factions sooooo much better than 40K, where it's "I really hope you like the Imperium!" because that's mostly all you'll be getting, unless you're the 1 lucky xeno faction of this edition
My issue with the Soulblight box is the last one had a Vengorian/Vai. No idea why they did it twice. Wish there was a Vamp on Zombie Dragon or a Mortarch in there instead.
I can only surmise that it's an attempt to move bat centaur models. Not only is the model itself controversial, Avengorii is also the least supported subfaction. It has to be one of the worst selling models in the range and GW has spent a lot of plastic on it.
Last years boxes were weird. Some felt like a great starting point, Skaven, while others were locked into specific playstyles/characters, Sylvaneth. But I do love the Seraphon box, that plus the Vanguard box would finish my army, not sure I need the second Slaan, but I'll take it over Lord Kroak.
No Cities of Sigmar box upsets me greatly, they just did a massive range refresh, but the limited run box barely included half of what they announced, this would have been a golden opportunity to provide more in one big bundle.
I've thought about getting into AoS. The Seraphon and Gravelords boxes are very tempting. I am very torn. The gravelords box looks like it gels better with their vanguard box. But Dinosaurs!
I am still working on the Seraphon army box from earlier in the year and this battleforce for Seraphon has both Saurus and fatty frog so I don't think I will get it. Saving myself for The Old World brettionians
id be all over that std box if i didnt already have 10 chosen from the army box last year, 15 of them just seems egregious. same for the seraphon, really dont need a third slann (i made some bad monetary choices this year)
I literally own everything in the ossiarch box and the only thing I’ve yet to build is the second pair of morghasts because that kit can burn in the underworld.
I just dont get how the 40k ones had things like a Norn Emissary or bloody ANGRON, but we get small guys like Eternus and Lauka Vai (again). Also anyone who got the army boxes for seraphon or StD has almost no reason to buy these battleforces. I imagine next year will have a Cities of Sigmar box, hopefully with the manticore lady. Maybe an Ardboys box woth the big boar and some of the other new sculpts too.
I'm really tempted by the Seraphon box but not any of the others, even though I already collect Soulblight nothing in there that appeals to me... I've got plenty of cavalry and tons of skellies and I don't run the Lord at all so...
Interesting two death armies. I would be torn betseen the chaos or the vamps as i dint have any of the newer of either faction. I would lobe to expand or replace my old fantasy models with the newer ones for either. The question is would i stick to fantasy for them or make them for aos? Hmmm... will have to see pricing for sure.
I’d buy the Warhost of Eternus except I already have the models in the box (except Eternus). Besides Warhammer the Old World is coming out next year, so I’m saving my cash for that instead.
4 Battleforce boxes. 4 Major Factions in Age of Sigmar. Logically you would think that means 1 battleforce for each Grand Alliance. Mr James Workshop never was one for logic.
I’m so glad that none of the battle forces are up my alley. I have a non-zero chance of being murdered by my heavily pregnant wife if I order more Warhammer….
Not really feeling it for any of these. Uf it had been the 3 headed 4 armed dudes in nagashes toll collectors instead of the morghasts i would be more about it.
Honestly, it's kind of a shame. I've found the more recent AoS sculpts to be excellent, for the most part, but I just can't seem to care about AoS or get invested in its lore. Even Warhammer Fantasy grabs my interest more as a setting.
You'd more likely appreciate AOS if you're a complete beginner into Warhammer gaming like I am. Otherwise, Fantasy is still sorely missed, which I also do miss a lot lel...
After working retail for 17 years the term "nearly Christmas" gives me anxiety😂
After about the same amount of time spent working in hospitality, I absolutely know how you feel 😢😂
It's that time of the year when all the Karens of the world get roused from their sleep and throw their wrath upon the wagies of the land

Just buy him lmao I did.
Kroak is the excuse unto himself.
I still haven't painted any of the last few years' boxes. I may have to give this one a miss.
Ooooh, lizards...
The Seraphon Battleforce feels so much more diverse and cool than the FOMO starter box from this spring
This is also a FOMO box 😂
I think the boxes look fairly comprehensive as a starter for an army, they're not perfect, but then we live in an imperfect universe...
Since existence is the context for conceptualizing anything, including perfection and imperfection, how can the universe be imperfect?

They put the Vengorian Lord in the last soulblight battleforce as well. With 20 skellies, 40 zombies and 5 blood knights 🫤
The slaves to darkness box is so good! Tempting enough for me as I've wanted to start slaves to darkness as my sigmar army. It's also a hair under 1k points, the army box and vanguard box makes 3 quarters of a whole army
I'm really surprised there are two death Faction boxs, but no destruction box..
i think kirioth is on something - his reviews recently seem to be getting more and more animated!
Superglue, cement and plastic crack.
He's nearing apotheosis.
I'm excited about the Ossiarch box. Ready to start that army.
it is indeed a good army. lots of diverse models you can get for it. the single models are basically all wizards and can cast spells and a couple can buff your infantry and heavy units. its my army and i love it.
The vampire one is would have been perfect for The Old World if they chose a different HQ.
The lizardmen box is so good
The single most interesting thing about these boxes is that not one of them's Stormcast. Am I the only one who thinks that this is a good sign?
They only do Stormcast every 2 years, always have
@@staalforsfh Never noticed. Any idea why?

I thoroughly enjoyed the energy of this video. The discordance was pleasing.

"Eternus, love that GUYS."
Theres not a bad mini in those chaos or Lizardman boxes.

Want to get the soul blight box to use most of the minis for vampire counts when old world launches.
I've thought about getting into AoS. The Seraphon and Gravelords boxes are very tempting. I am very torn. The gravelords box looks like it gels better with their vanguard box. But Dinosaurs!
As a soulblight player i highly suggest getting the lizard box instead it's a much better box!
Enjoyed this video. Thanks for the showing us these. 👍👍😉

might pick up the Slaves To Darkness box but none of them really pull me in.

This is tempting me to buy the seraphon box as I used to collect Lizardmen before they changed to AOS
Question is can we use these new minis for old world?! I know the new aggradon riders are massive compared to the old cold one riders
I shall name my slan starmaster King Gizzard
The cursor on the side kept making me think I had dirt on my screen hahaha
It is evil of GW to release a Soulblight Gravelords and Ork Best Snaggaz box, just the two items missing from my undead and ork armies.
No stormcast box is kind of weird.
This is AoS not 40K. Every fourth release is Stormcast, not every other one.
True. The Morghasts don't fit well.
So we are just not going to mention the 48h thing, No? Okay
No never
But Kiri, if your videos don't feature chaos and/or tangents is it really a Kiri video?
