Insta360 Ace Pro "I APOLOGIES TO INSTA360" Pure Video Mode IS so GOOD Even ON a slightly Bright day

- Pure video mode has been something most people have talked about on the Insta360 Ace Pro. Everyone says this makes the camera a beast in low light. And it may well be.
But what about a normal day, a little late in the afternoon. When it is not bright sunlight, but rather cloudy. Well I was pleasantly surprised, it actually looks surprisingly good. I still found the camera to have a slight focus problem, not always. But I actually thought the camera did very well. Even slightly better than my Dji Action 4, not in all clips. But it seemed that the Dji Action 4 actually struggled more than the Insta360 Ace Pro.
The only negative thing I would say about Pure Video Mode is that it has limited settings. You only have a maximum of 30fps, hope this will change with an update.

I think the Action 4 is still the better camera and especially best when shooting in d-log. Same like with the Pocket 3, just use d-log and color grade with the official DJI lut in post.
Beats everything else out there.
Night mode on both P3 and A4 are actually making the footage look the most processed and worst from all modes, in my opinion, so I stick with the d-log or sometimes HLG on the P3.
Ace pro looks too artificial and also looks like close subjects are out of focus (such as when vlogging) but the A4 just barely makes it.
However, Ace pro seems to keep up with the digital stabilization better than the A4 when in lower light environments, I will give it that.
Hi, I see your point. Action 4 is still my favorite of these two. But the pure video mode actually suprised me. Yeah it looks a little weird sometimes. But stabilization was way better on the Ace pro than action 4, in low light. But if you want a more pro look action 4 is still a better camera. D-log is the way 👍. The sky was completely burnt out in the pure video mode, also less detail was captured for the tree branches and leaves in the background. Standard HDR looked way better in this particular lighting condition.

I am a runner and i want to start a instagram and youtube channel to document my journey for a sub 3 hr marathon, my use will be mostly in early morning runs and late nights , what action cam you suggest for this, i want to keep the camera in my back pocket of shorts
Hi, im also a runner. Maybe not a marathon runner😀. Well my favorite camera is dji action 4 and I would recommend the combo pack. But Ace Pro is a little better in low light, so it's a little difficult. But if you know most running is in low light, ace pro is maybe the best. But action 4 is a more durable camera, better build quality and better audio and better image quality in good light. So it's not easy to recommend this or that. It all depend on your need. For me, action 4 is the one. Bjt they are both good cameras. Hope it help😀

I think the Ace Pro won this one. I currently own the Ace Pro and am quite happy with it, but I am placing my order for the Action 4 because they are both good and excel in different areas under different conditions. For me they will complement each other. Besides, you can't have too many cameras!

In my eyes Pure Video mode is significantly better than Standard mode. Perhaps even better that the Action 4. difficult to know for sure from RUclips
