For me I do not plug into my audio interface for when I am on a Live Stream with others or when I stream. I plug into my computer speaker jack. Since I use OBS I just bring any other audio source in that way. The dual computer feature sounds intriguing and would love to try it out as well as the Bluetooth feature. Keep up the great content and 100,000 subs won’t be to all that far off in the future. Also I would love to see you do a bi-weekly or once a month Q&A Live Stream answering questions related to Podcasting and Live Streaming gear.
It has the same sound card, so the latency in the headphones is just as bad, but everything else is great. More streamlined if you don’t really use all the features that the E2 has
Thank you so much for your honest reviews. You helped me make a Vocaster and Pd200x combination decision. I'm still in the process of finalizing what settings fit my voice. I'm unsure about the PD200x mic, as my voice sits higher/ fuller in the upper-mid frequencies. The PD200x sounds a bit muddy, even after applying some EQ. Regarding latency, "no latency" or added coloration in the headphones is a priority for most vocalists. If these are off, it can cause pitch, off-tune, and quality recording frustrations.
Thank you! The Vocaster is quickly becoming my favorite interface…even over my Rodecaster duo, great audio, and so easy to dial your mic in quickly, and that you can send your audio directly into your camera and a pc at the same time for a backup copy of your audio. 😎 The PD200x to go with it…VERY SMOOTH!! Glad you found your combo, and a good one at that! Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate your time my friend!!!
@@levelupwithmikenewman Any time, Michael! It's the least I could do for the confidence you have given me to move forward with a choice. Could you recommend a decent budget XLR CABLE around 8 feet for $20-50 CND? I've noticed that my 10-year-old XLR cable is picking up radio interference (Sputtering and electrical clicking) and could be coloring the sound of my VO-MONO combo! I'm hoping the XLR exchange will be the fix to this. Again, Thank you for your dedication and help.
Question! Where do you stand on headphone monitoring? Ok with the slight reverb & latency? Or does Zero latency - accurate audio a make or break for you with these budget interfaces?
I agree - must be zero latency. I just bought this BEFORE watching your video and the reverb is killing me. Do you have a suggestion of one that will work for me with my RODE Podmic? I had the PreSonus AuioBox iTwo, which apparently is an Ohm mismatch and was just way too quiet. Then I bought this Maono and it's got insane reverb. Like how do people successfully make content with reverb??? Can you please recommend something that will fit my setup. Podmic, Stream Deck+, MacBook Pro, and... what else?!
Are you looking for a straight up audio interface with an xLR input like a scarlet Focusrite or a digital mixer with faders? Also, what is your budget?
i bought it, but I got a problem with any son that comes to mine, and I'm coming back to a sneaky little squeaky even using the noise cancellor, I'm switching phone, wiring wires, everything works perfect in another device, but with the maono doesn't funicate, reminding that when I record my sound is crystalline, the problem is when I'm listening to sound monitor by the maono
Can you suggest a device similar to this one, with zero latency, to connect to my phone for live streaming on TikTok or RUclips? I would need it for singing live and applying reverb and echo effects.
I don’t think there is a device with those features at $60 without zero latency. There are better audio interfaces at this price range but non of them have the reverb feature. Reverb would have to be added in post.
Hey Mike, thanks for the torture man ! You're great at gettin' outa trouble when you stumble on words, I'd be destroyed there haha. Enjoyed the video, thanks!!
@@levelupwithmikenewman after some experimenting, I’ve noticed it does it very noticeably while it’s charging and while anything is playing, it’s like a small kind of ticking or crackling noise in the background
Honestly neither because of the latency in the headphones, but if I didn’t have an interface and needed one and these were my only choices, I would choose this one. I couldn’t pay more than $100 for a device that I wouldn’t be able to use my headphones as much as I like. Great features though. Everybody who listens or watches your content will get a great experience, the only one who has to hear that reverb is you in your own headphone monitoring.
For me, personally, it is. I would only use this if I needed to record audio and didn’t need to wear headphones. There are others that said in the comments they have one and it doesn’t bother them.
It was a hiccup on my part. 🤦🏻♂️😆Recorded the video in 24 fps and audio in 60fps. Didn’t realize it until editing was done and rendered it. Tried my best to go back and break it up and minimize it the gap in speed. Good eye! Lol. 👍🏻
I'm not from the US, however, I'm happy for the work you're putting in and I appreciate it. Really helps me out alot! Keep on doing it bro!!
I hope you can review the Maono caster Au Am100 as well.
Congratulations 1000 Subs 👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you so much 😁 almost there! 15 to go! 🙌🏻

Thank you! I will start doing some livestream podcasts in the near future. 👍🏻 looking forward to it!
Love your vids bro, just a quick question how does it compare to the maonocaster E2?
It has the same sound card, so the latency in the headphones is just as bad, but everything else is great. More streamlined if you don’t really use all the features that the E2 has
Great review man 😎

Are you able to review the 7ryms 7caster se2. Seems like it's decent
that monitoring latency of this caster is deal breaker for me after using am100. Big no
24:42 Thanks for doing the giveaway. Good luck with your channel.
Can't wait for the giveaway to excited

I cant believe I won it im super excited
I will be shipping it out tomorrow for you! 👍🏻
Possible to connect both PS5 & PC without switching cables while the mic still works on both (Plugging & Unplugging)?
I love it bro 24:54 would love it to podcast community issues. Thanks for podcast!!

Thanks! I make putting sentences in a blender an art!!! lol. Gotta have some fun!
I would love it
Just got one when the headphones are plugged into the back, it makes a popping sound every few seconds
That is definitely not normal. I would return it for a replacement wherever you ordered it. 👍🏻

If you have to choose betwen the e 2 vs neo c 2 what you choose ?

Question is it ok to use for a podcast and to answer your question im with you that reverb in the headphones do throw you off I hate it
I love it for podcasting if you can deal with the latency/slight reverb. Everything else that goes into your headphones comes out clean and clear
Does the AME2 have the same delay? I just returned this because of this very reason. I was hoping its bigger brother does not have that.
Yes. Exact same sound card. Only difference is just more features
@@levelupwithmikenewman Thanks, I actually just finished watching your review on the E2. Sucks. Much appreciated.
im wanna get the c2 you giving away say this on your channel great reiew and i live in the usa thansk bro
It’s a great device if you can handle the latency in your headphones. The giveaway is over. Sorry!!
24:50 I would love to win this
hows the build quality? is it metal or plastic?
It is plastic. 👍🏻
Is the latency real bad?
For me, personally, it is. I would only use this if I needed to record audio and didn’t need to wear headphones. There are others that said in the comments they have one and it doesn’t bother them.
