It's About Joy

How many of us have lived in fear and anger... Feeling like joy is a million miles away? I have... Living and feeling like joy has been stolen from me by life's circumstances... By the enemy. The enemy steals our joy and replaces it with anger and bitterness and frustration and fear. But here's what I've found... It's only through Jesus that l've found joy. Psalm 16:11 says this: "You will make known to me the way of life; In your presence is the fullness of joy; In your right hand there are pleasures forever."
I think many of us mistake what God wants to give us. Instead of joy, many of us think that God wants to give us happiness. And God is saying, "No, no, no. I don't want to give you happiness." Not because happiness isn't good. Not because God doesn't want us to be happy. God wants us to be happy. But Jesus didn't come to give us happiness. Jesus came so that He could give us His joy. "I have told you this so that My joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete." John 15:11
