Were you a 2000's nu metal kid? Or did you get into nu metal more recently? Let me know what you think and if you would add anything! / kittycowell kittycowell.co...
Hello, in 2000 I was 15 I remember that Levis, Tommy Hilfiger, Moschino, Timberland, even Nautica joined this period they brought out some beautiful baggy pants, i also wore baggy denim jackets , listening static x, resorte (mexican nu metal band), korn, mudvayne on my cd players........🥺😖 such a good times, girl!!! 🤘🤘🤘 keep rocking.
I always associate the new metal look with white girls with very black hair, wide/baggy pants with a small tear at the knee, chains, a Slipknot t-shirt and a black superstar on their feet, modified or campus hahaha
I was the only person at my school wearing Jnco jeans that just swallowed my shoes, chains on my wallet, co-ed naked shirts, patches on my backpack, frosted hair (frosted my goatee at one point)… Kinda stood out a bit. Was Airwalk clothing big over there? It competed with Van for a good bit in the US. I hate being a bigger guy & in a wheelchair bc it’s impossible to find the right pants. Being in a small town doesn’t help either!
Air walk was kinda popular but not super big here in that scene. A little bit. Haha sounds great. Frosted hair needs a comeback. Ah I'm so sorry to hear that. Definitely try online! Hip-hop stores do bigger sizes and definitely do baggy jeans. Maybe a good place to try?
Some of these trends died over time and today I no longer see myself using them. Dickies chinos have always been very versatile pieces that suit different occasions. The look of Coal Chamber, Kittie's girls and even Joey Jordison carried a lot of industrial influence popularized by bands like Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson. The clothes were mostly black, made of acid-wash denim, leather, buckles, and platform boots. And rivets - lots of rivets and also gothic rock. I know Tripp, she's really cool, another cool brand is The Vampire's Wife. I always associate new metal with baggy pants were common - especially JNCO jeans - Adidas tracksuits, hats, wallet chains, spiky hair and braids. Today LV and other brands have created a reinterpretation of the chunky sneakers you mentioned hahahaha
Bernys! I would die for a grown-up pair. Never felt so cool as when I had my new Berny's, my chunky wallet chain, and my oversized bootleg blink-182 hoodie. And I didn't know Route One still existed! Amazing. Take me back.
I’ve been wearing retro skate shoes a lot as my foot is super wide. This re ignition of the era we went through could not have come at a better time. Love the content
you forgot the most iconic nu metal thing....NY yankees red baseball cap. I had that hat and so many people i knew had that hat, but I also had my hair dyed blonde and spiked when i didn't wear it
I always interpreted nu metal style as dressing like an alternative cholo
Haha yeah I see that
