Thanks, yeah I don't think they're bad, some of them just aren't my style, but I figured it was a part of their official discography so I'd check it out and there were a few really cool versions on here 😊
I listen to the This is ATEEZ Spotify playlist which I'm pretty sure has all the remixes, so I've gotten used to even the ones I initially didn't care for. The nice thing is since they generally only do remixes for more popular songs, I get to hear those songs more often without it getting boring. I watched the MVs several times before album listens, so Japanese Utopia is the OG for me. Buddy's Twilight is THE twilight for me.
Oh also a heads up when you get to the dreamers japanese single album, that was during Mingi's hiatus from the group so even though youll see his picture in lyric videos he wasnt in any of the songs (but in the last fever album they made a korean version of one of the songs and also the songs they performed on Kingdom and they added Mingi into all of them (he was missing from Kingdom too) The songs Mingi is missing from (Still Here original japanese version, Dreamers)
They performed the Classic Buddy Mix of Twilight live! Here is a link: ruclips.net/video/vSZGJsKLDzo/видео.htmlsi=_odA9NhcC_mcqeEY This is a favorite remix of mine as well. 😊
The Japanese vids are still lore-intense; the Utopia one is very much interstitial - the curtains are giving the yellow smoke of Strictland, and you're in an interstitial space but can see glimpses of clear sky through the curtains. I feel like most of the remixes are awesome for mixing into playlists for a little variety, but not really what I'd put on repeat. There are a few exceptions for me - the Edenary remix of WORK, the Heat-topping mix of Fireworks, and the Promise remix off this album.
I think out of all the remixes/ different versions this one had my least favorite ones, i still liked them but i wish they did more, like the HALA HALA one i agree 100% i wish they wouldve fully committed to it and i wish that the strings were way more prominent. But the standouts for me were definitely Twilight and Promise, i really liked wave except for the chorus. Definitely excited to see what you think of the other remixes, I wont spoil which one but theres a different version of a title track you havent gotten to yet that i think youre gonna love! ( You heard a little sneak peak of it in the guide)
Yeah, it's an interesting idea to do a full album like this, and for the most part they push the remixes into different places than the original which makes it feel like it's a worthwile listen, some of them just weren't for me lol I'm looking forward to checking out the other remixes too!
Yeah, honestly what I would love for them to do is an album that's just concert versions of songs, with the live band and everything. Like if they made an album of their Coachella performances cus the band killed it there! Same goes for my other favorites dreamcatcher, specifically from their online concert "Crossroads Utopia part 1" I would give any amount of money for them to give us those incredible rearranged/acoustic versions from that concert, especially Can't get you out of my mind and Black or White
I feel the same way, most of these remixes are just OK with some interesting production changes here and there, and a few of the remixes are nice enough to go back and listen to again. That said, there are some remixes in later albums that I actually prefer more than the original, which is pretty rare. Also since you liked BUDDY's arrangements the most, they have done quite a bit of work on Dreamcatcher's discography as well. Most notably 'Locked Inside A Door', Yoohyeon's solo 'For', and the entire Apocalypse: From Us album!
@SylverReacts yeah I think based off the tracks and remixes BUDDY did, their main bread and butter is Piano arrangement and composition for the production. It was "chef's kiss" in that smooth Jazzy production for 'For'!
I’m usually the same way about remixes in general, I skip them, but since it was part of the discography this time I went for it, plus we’re going as deep as we can on this deep dive 😂
Ty I prefer the originals, Dreamers is Ateez first Japanese single I like the Korean version 💜 Aurora is my favorite song but better in the original version also 💜
Hey so idk if you know but starbucks supports the ungoing genocide in gaza so it would be great if we all boycotted, but anyways, great reaction, i'm a new subscriber ;)
Don’t worry if you are not a fan of all remixes… with a few exceptions, most atinys ignore their existence entirely 😂

Back in the day Ateez would randomly sing to the remix version of illusion xD it was hilarious
You are literally a treasure for doing this! I hope you never stop doing it because you are very nice to watch on these deep dives! New fan, for sure!
Aww thank you so much ☺️
Yay new reaction 🥰
☺️🫶
I surely watch all of your ateez reaction. I had so much fun. Thank you
Thank you so much!

They did perform Dreamers with Mingi for Summer Vacation Camp. It was nice Seonghwa still got to rap.
Yep I was so excited seeing Mingi get a part in that! I wish they released a studio version with Mingi

i love Utopia and all of Ateez Japanese MVS, they rock and always deliver

I LOVE concert albums, so yeah I'd 100% be down for that
Cant wait for action to answer!
I'm also not usually a fan of remixes either but this has some nice ones

💯
Tbh, i never listen to the remixes. This could be my first time. I love all of their songs, but i usually didnt check out the remixes. 😂
