This disappoints me. I was truly looking forward to Silk.
I’m still genuinely surprised that even though she’s really popular in the comics, Silk has NEVER been adapted to the screen, not in movies, tv, animation or even video games.
She is going to be adapted on the next PlayStation Spiderman, check the Spiderman 2 credit scenes

Amazon is already doing spider noir so I don't think Madame web is the only reason they held off.
At least the Spider Verse spin-off is going to have her along with Spider-Gwen.

Silk seems like an interesting character. Would've liked to see the show, assuming it was good. Slightly weaker than Spiderman, better agility and durability, stronger but sometimes unreliable spider sense. Unfortunate that their track record has not been good.
They have silk in the upcoming Spiderman 3 video game, so Sony needs to educate the viewers on her story even if it means a bad movie/series.
A bad movie/series is literally the worst way to try to educate viewers lol
And why would you need to educate them with a movie/ show for just a game in the first place ?
Let Disney make it then you can have Tom Holland join in on the fun. Silk & Peter’s dynamic is awesome and we’d get to see that play out
Netflix and Sony should try to add this show and renegotiate their current Sony deal to get onto their ad tier.

Apparently they had no idea what they wanted this show to be. One iteration of the series allegedly barely had Silk in it. That's like doing a Boba Fett show and making him the 3rd or 4th main character. Wait a minute...

Hopefully she gets put in Beyond the Spider-Verse so her popularity can get a boost along with her showing up in the Spider-Man 3 game
Hope sony and marvel studio get a deal do a serie of her in the mcu as she already existed there
I also feel that Madame Web also killed, or at least lessened, the chances of a live-action movie with Spider-Gwen or Spider-Woman especially because Madame Web had three Spider-Women in it for barely a minute.
How they did they make a movie with some of the most in demand actresses like Isabela Merced and Sydney Sweeney and only have them play angsty girls that never get their powers?! That is baffling!

Silk might be in the upcoming DLC for the Spider-Man 2 video game, and probably in Spider-Man 3, whenever it comes out. She was seen in one of the post credit scenes of the latest game, so we know to expect her sometime soon. So, the public will be getting more exposure to the character. If Silk is well received in the games, it could help the chances of this show being picked up.
John I've been wondering for awhile! If you see this can you answer why you don't watch invincible? I feel like you'd really like it.
This is a project right up Disney's alley &with Silk setup to play a role in the next Spider-Verse film some studio should take a bet on her becoming a breakout character like a majority of other Spider-Verse characters. And I do thoroughly enjoy Silk &would like to see her in something outside the comics
Ever since I've heard about this, I've been all for it because Silk is a very interesting character but since she has a strong dynamic with Peter in her story and you don't have Spider-Man in the Sony/Venom universe just yet, I think this should belong with Marvel since they already established her as a character in Homecoming.

honestly scrap the live action show angle and try and make it into an animated show.
A lot of famous superhero characters especially the unknown ones gets more exposure through animation.

I love silk
Silk's a failed character in the comics. They really tried to push her for a few years, but her books weren't good and didn't sell. She's mainly known for being the McGuffin in the Spider-verse series. I can't even imagine what they could've scraped together for viable source material for her.

This really shouldn’t surprise anyone, we’ve seen that Sony has for the most part completely crapped the bed with most of their Spider-Man-Less Spider-Man universe, and so the idea of them now trying to do a big live action series based on character that only a small percentage of earth’s population has actually heard of seemed like way too risky of a move for them, for someone like the MCU to do that it makes more sense because they’ve already proven themselves, Sony has basically destroyed their entire reputation with Morbius and Madame Webb, and from what it looks like they’re about to do it again with Kraven, so why would anyone trust them to do something like this? And so I honestly think this series will just never see the light of day, I just don’t see why anyone would wanna pick it up given the horrible name Sony has made for themselves

No doubt the failure of Madame Web caused the cancellation of Silk. Executives tend to associate the failure of female-led projects on the fact that it featured women instead of, y'know, genuinely sucking. You'll notice Spider-Man Noir is suffering no such fate.
But, yeah, Sony's non-animated Spidey stuff sucks. They've been shitting the bed ever since they stuck their noses into Spidey 3 and demanded Sam Raimi include Venom into an already-packed story. Meanwhile, the MCU films have been fantastic despite not being a 100% comics-accurate representation of the character. And I know some people like Venom, but just--no.
They need to just give up the ghost. Let the MCU handle all of their shit and just sit back, shut up, and reap some of the rewards.
