I love this style! No corny jokes or complicated setup, just straight forward magic. What a great trick!
DITTO!
he's FANTASTIC
I 100% agree with you. I love the simplicity of the act. No pretending that it's "magic" or anything, just plainly states it's an illusion and makes simple subtle movements. That makes the payoff so much more effective.
Lol so true. I actually miss that. Good ol' days of simple quick yet brilliant magic.
Exactly. Some magicians just ramble too much, like just get to the goddam trick. This guy went straight to business.
It's all fun now but it won't be when they call in 2 years to take that trophy back... 🤣🤣🤣 in all sincerity though.. this is one of the best and pure fools ever!
Nice one! 🤣🤣
They should call him up and drag him back under that pretext just to ask him to join them for dinner lol 🤣
O, I can’t find the trophy
Ok, so maybe I don't laugh out loud every time I type "lol", but your comment actually did the trick. Nice one.
Your two appearances are my favorite. No fluff, just straight to the point perfect magic. You’re what makes magic so great
This was magnificent to watch. No talks of miracles or magic. Just out there demonstrating absolutely mind blowing skill. Even knowing it’s fake, you can’t tell at all how or when.
I've watched every episode of FU and Simon is my favorite. His presentations are so elegant. As in design, it takes lots and lots of work and experience to make something appear straight forward, but it's easily recognized when someone sees it.
Absolutely- but especially the trick with the poker chips. Poetry in motion
When I first saw him on FU I felt like when I felt as a kid seeing magic trick. The trick with the poker chip is beautiful. In plain sight chips were apearing and disappearing. Even when I realized after rewatching how it's done it's stil probably my favorite trick on Fool Us. I'm gonna rewatch it right now actually.
There was a french close up card magic magician who astounded everyone and also fooled them. Don't remember his name but that routine was also beautiful
@@edward9643 Boris Wild.
@@BlackWhirlies thanks
I find myself coming back to watch this video at least once a month. This trick is just perfect. The trick, the patter, the simplicity - I like to think of this as an example of a perfect sleight of hand routine in its purest form.
nope---gimmicked bill, pull and some sleights
He actually did a huge mistake that almost cracked the trick from 2:30 to 2:32... and recovering from that situation with such elegance and no show of anxiety just makes it even better
@@gustavorossetimmachado4800 Good eyes
I noticed that the first time as well but didn't bother going back to watch it. So I went back and watched it several times and still found nothing. This is the best bill switch I've ever seen:-) @@gustavorossetimmachado4800
I love how you just stand and laugh each time you fooled them. Well done!
Fantastic Simon! So happy for you! I have seen you perform this many times but never with the introduction of the third note. Incredible.
I could watch hours of such clean and elegant magic. Really really well done, Simon!
Simón i watched your performance a year ago in RUclips and I am back again as I was explaining what pure magic looks like. Your confidence and elegance adds to the presentation . Well done!
What a class, elegance, honesty and control. I admire your work since your first appearance on Fool Us, and share your passion for this art. So happy that you fooled them again, congrats and cheers from Spain!!!
"YOU WON'T BELIEVE this clickbait title" and a lack of saying the outcome in the title gave me that much more respect for you. Amazing magic and performance! Thank you for the smiles and sense of wonder.
I only watch these Fool Us videos if the title doesn't give away the result - which, unfortunately, means that I mostly watch people who don't fool them...
You have to consider for a lot of these folks, their Fool Us segment is likely the biggest thing on their channel and they're trying to maximize click through.
@@LiminalQueenMedia that is a very valid point. I can't fault them for that. I do stand by what I said as a viewer, but it doesn't mean I don't watch and appreciate the "FOOLED" titles. Good point :)
@@AfromanSkeeter Its also easy to understand why you would be frustrated by it. Its a compromise of a lot of folks interests.
@@LiminalQueenMedia perhaps a middle ground could be found. RUclips offering a spoiler black box for part of a title? Although, the reality of that is likely not likely realistic/helpful for their typical algorithms. Hard to say, but I like the alternative view you have pointed out.
Well done Simon! Had the pleasure of working with you at the inaugural Steamboat is Magic Festival in 2015 at the Historic Chief Theater in Steamboat Springs, Colorado! A class act through and through! Congratulations and I hope that our paths cross again.
That was awesome! I was amazed by this trick, as with the other. Your style and casual way of explaining the trick is wonderful. Just a great trick, done with great class! All skill! Amazing!
You have the loveliest smile of all foolers. It comes after years of practice and means a lot to you. It really feels amazing when one’s effort pays off.
Your one of the most real Magicians iv ever seen man your so down to earth and straight about what your doing I massively appreciate and love that.
I love your style. Simple and elegant. For me magic is about the talent, ingenuity and insane amount of work you magician did in order to amaze us.
Thank you
I don't comment on many FoolUs videos but Simon you have a remarkable modesty about you. Even the way that you didn't try to argue the first time you were on to the beautiful craftsmanship of this performance. Really amazing magic my friend. Thank you for your time at your craft!
By far you and Eric Mead are my two favorite Fool Us guests.
Great example! Yes both are great! When is Eric coming back?
Kostya Kimlat too
Two of the most purely magical feeling effects for sure.
I love how simply straight up these tricks are. I remember watching the poker chip trick and thinking...this guy is amazing.
That is such an elegant and smoothly performed illusion. Really beautiful.
Hi Simon, Greetings from UK...
I loved the poker-chips (Gawd, who didn't?)
I love this routine, for many reasons...
Your absolutely surgical precision is second to-none!
And... Your very crisp, precise language (patter)... More than just a joy to watch... you are a joy to listen-to!
Thank you
My jaw dropped at the purity of Simon’s bill change when he came to Quebec last year. He really polishes his magic pieces like gemstones.
That look Teller gives him at 3:41 just after he finished the trick says it all. He's basically saying "well played".
I think he's just still watching his hands very closely.
@@SteveBennett1 Yeah the act was over but Penn and Teller looked like they were zooming in on his hand to see what he puts back into his pocket.
Beautiful presentation. Well done on a superb performance.
After watching this episode, my respect for Penn and teller grow even more which I didn’t think was possible. But I also fell in love with this dude and his charisma with the tricks. Good job, my friend.
Elegance! Such a small, clean, pure trick, just oozing elegance from every angle!
Amazing job - well done Simon!!!
Loved the way you describe your process I can see you really love your craft.
Sleight of hand so good and clean, you believe in a gimmick prop first like Penn was suggesting! Awesome work
So slick and smooth. I loved how minimalist and clean this trick was.
Honestly, I love how chill your act is
I've re-watched this many times, and thanks to the youtubes even in slow motion. I can detect where the switches were made, and maybe part of how. That said, the amount of what I assume to be slight of hand control, I could not pick up any errors or tells. So well done!
1:48 watch his right hand u will see the second bill - there's your tell ;)
This is just extremely precise sleight of hand that probably took months if not years of practice. Impressive. Can't even begin to see where he might be hiding the other bills.
It happens so fast at .25 speed its a blur O.O
sooooooo clean... soooo perfect. how he hid the other bills from behind while showing everysides of the bill is outstanding 👍👍👍
Astounding. Elegant. Perfect.
How embarrassing would it be if penn and teller had later discovered it was actually gimmicked lol…and they thought it wasn’t to prevent themselves from feeling foolish. Pretty funny, but I’m glad they were right and you fooled them. Truly truly beautiful astounding act. Well done and so entertaining, clean and quick, yet powerful
Still, shows their professionalism and respect for other magicians.
The humility of Penn and Teller. "Yep, we don't know. Your awesome!" Just love it. Amazing trick!!
I love it, simple presentation, but that makes it even more impressive, thank you
Plain and simple, that was just beautifully executed. Well done
Awesome work, my estranged buddy - once again!!
Fantastic, Beautiful Presentation. Great Job Sir.
.25 speed @ just before 2:30 you can see the switch. Still one of the best F U in the entire series.
So the bills are folded together, he's doing some kind of high level origami
It’s not a real 100$ bill. Look like he covers with his hand one of the corners of the bill - one that probably says 50 on it
@@ketrab604 I doubt that bc he said the bill was not rigged.
I love ;istening to the patter of this illusion. It's something I love seeing magician's do revealing some of their secrets so that we as people who don't do sleight of hand can greater appreciate the skills and technique that you're actually doing.
Good Sir, I watch and follow a lot of magic tricks, I've seen most if not every Fool Us episode, that being said in general I know how you did this but I have no idea how you did this, if that makes sense. This is one of the cleanest tricks I've ever seen and it's absolute perfection. So simply and so amazing, thank you.
We definitely need to appreciate how well Penn articulates things. That was a beautiful.
Shin Lim performs beautifully, Kostya Kimlat has smooth moves, Vitaly Beckman is a great thinker - but Simon, you are hands down the best magician to ever appear on stage in front of Penn & Teller, bar none.
To do what you do so elegantly, on a bare stage, with just your two hands and the absolute bare minimum props necessary to perform the illusion, takes a certain amount of guts and a hell of a lot of skill that I can only imagine took decades to refine.
The fact that you fooled them so hard the first time that they didn't even realise they'd been fooled was impressive enough, and it's a testament to your character that you took it in such good stride. Fooling them a second time, though - just wow.
I don't know if you have any plans to return to Melbourne to put on a show some day, but I really, really hope you do, because I would absolutely love to see you perform live.
Honestly I'm not sure what I like more: the magic or the patter, as one compliments the other and vice versa. Wonderfully done!
Thats always the best with this show you can really see how much they love what they do and how much they respect other magicians
Goddamn, that’s so smooth. Just incredible.
You make covid less awkward, thank-you.
Years of practice has paid off!
Wow. Just wow. As a fellow performer, can I say that THIS is an inspiration!
Awesome trick and beautiful delivery!
I was looking to see if I could spot anything because the camera is closer in compared to what they see, sometimes I notice palms and places where the switch did happen, not how but when, but this was so amazing! No gimmicks, just perfection.
Utterly fooled by the trick. Thanks for not spoiling it in the title!
You are my favorite ur simplicity is so flawless and perfectly executed 💵💶
Both your Fool Us performances are absolute masterclasses in sleight of hand. So amazingly clean, and while it can be seen that you are doing some 'handling', exactly (or even vaguely) what that is is mind-boggling!
Please do another Fool Us!
Someone call the Secret Service. This wizard is counterfeiting in real time.
this is such a good trick, it deserves way more views
One word Simon: You’re AMAZING! You’re one of the very few magicians that we can watch and enjoy daily! Come to Abu Dhabi or Dubai please! It will change your life and you will meet new people and loyal fans!
Really, this performance is such a joy to watch!
500 years down the lane, this show will be a classic and Penn and Teller will still be regarded the greatest Jesters of all time
You think humanity will still be here in 500 years? 🤣
The strength and talent of Penn and Teller is such that there's awe and respect from them when they're fooled
Loved this trick so much. Great guy, Great trick. You are the Best !
You make the routine look so simple. I've seen some similar tricks, but none that come close to how simple you made this look.
This is what I watch FU for. Something so simple that I cannot even begin to start to figure it out. Stunning in every way.
That was incredible and utterly masterful.
Fantastic work Simon
SIMON this is a beautiful act WOW and so plain unbelievable really ,i watch this only one time cause there's no way like P & T could figure this out sincerely congrats
He built a chamber under his thumbnail to hide bills.
Some of the most beautiful slight of hand I have seen yet....
Beautiful way of presenting the trick 👍
Good job. Very well done. May the magic STAY with you! ;)
Simple trick yet done beautifully. Excellent performance. His stance & composure say's it all. 2:55 Teller was tearing. Congrats on fooling them twice!
Clean and elegant. I much prefer this style of magic instead of the fast talking con man style many magicians use. Bravo!!
wow... I have been working on switches. this has been done clean. well done. Kudos!
No unnecessary movements and so skilled that even though they know how the trick is done, they still fooled.
Ok, I just watched you on another occasion where you did the 5 to 50 ... but now you added a 100 as well? God damn it! :)
Such an elegant presentation.
You are so fast and clean... I think if even I knew your method I couldn't be that fast
That is perhaps the most efficiently elegant illusion I’ve even seen.
This is a real magician! No foolishness! Just raw skill on an empty stage with empty hands and sleeves! Simply beautiful and full of awe, the stuff that MAGIC is made of! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Most clean version of money change i have ever seen.
Such a great trick! Much deserved
Awesome routine, and so awesome that you fooled even the masters not once but twice
Not quite sure all the ins and outs but I practice and my best guess is the back of the $5 there is a small but noticeable crease and bulk in the bottom right where the number 5 font is it’s largest. So back of bill straight on the bottom right has the next bill loaded and folded ready for the reveal when after making it into a nice small fold. Opening and unfolding the bill reveals the the next bill. And the move of shaking and gently turning the bill over reveals the bill is clean the entire thing is clean. Thank you sir!
Just listened to his recent interview on the Tim Ferriss Show. Such a cool, down to earth, open guy.
Great work. Love the simplicity, there can’t be many ways to hide the method when it’s such a simple, well known trick. There was a point when you turn the note over halfway through and it seems like you clearly fumbled something (clearly but still small) yet I can’t tell what you did apart from assuming you had put the next note in place behind the one you were showing… but where did you pull the other notes from and hide them? It doesn’t seem like you would have deliberately fumbled that because everything else was so clean and devoid of obvious distractions.
Wow. I have seen bill changes before, but nothing like this where it switches to 3 different denominations. That was truly BRILLIANT!
As an Aussie.....well done mate. Beauty.
The best billet switch I've ever seen. It's so clean I got lost in the routine and after watching in several times I can't point to any tells in the moves. 10/10
Yeah, I feel like I'm watching 3 card monty. I wasn't even positive what I was seeing until the hiccup.
How does this not have more views??
"YOU WON'T BELIEVE this clickbait title"
I love, love, love this.
See this is the pure genius of this show. P&T have challenged the world (at thief expense in one sense) to up its game. And boy has it worked because that routine is just stunning.
The fact that he dedicated a significant portion of his opening video to Penn & Teller admitting fault while praising them…. Respect
You can’t put a price on something this good! Amazing!
Absolutely loved this
Do you like midgets?
This was terrific. Beautiful illusion.
I was giggling at the end. incredible.
Enjoyable to watch. "Perfection is achieved not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away."
Congrats man!
