@@brentsmith555 yeah I was so excited. I had 54/150 advance.. then I believe we had 2/12 advance in round 2 which I love that advance structure and I had around 27-28 of those advance. Pretty nice. Was able to hit 5,000, 3,000 and 1,000 in the finals with my three
@@levihill5452That’s wild! I don’t max the milly, but last year I built 100 teams on different DK tourneys. Had 30 advance to the playoffs, but only two advanced out of week 15 and neither of those made the final. I had one make the milly final in 2022, but it had Jefferson on it and he went for 0 that day against the Packers.
@@brentsmith555 I got lucky this past year I was really high on Kyren Williams, Jerome Ford and Mostert. The QB injuries/benchings really made it a weird year though.
good stuff. the most important thing, from my view, is looking at what happened in the past and asking "why?" instead of saying well that worked last year, so i am going all in on that this year. every season has weird wrinkles and trends, and its really easy to look back after all the cards are turned over and determine what was optimal. ive been drafting a bunch of different builds in the DK Milly this year (Hero RB, Zero RB, Double Elite RB/QB, Double Elite TE) and i think all of them can be viable if things shake out. the one consistent for me is always to avoid the running backs in rounds 3-6. i just dont see the value there, compared to the WRs that also go in that range. but who knows, maybe guys like jacobs/aaron jones have one last ride in them.
Love this. And yeah, the one takeaway I’d hope people have is that 20 rounds opens up so much more. Making sure you’re covered at WR allows so much. Thanks for watching.
This is the video I wanted to see. Overall I think this year will be a lot different than last year. Last year was a terrible year for early rb's and te's, and I doubt we see a repeat of that. For the 10 first rounds I'm liking 2 rb's, 1 qb, and, 2 te's, and 5 wr's, or switching to 3 rb's and 1 te, or 2qb and 1 te. I think there's some hidden gems in later wr's rounds this year, and getting 2 of the later qb's seems reasonable based on adp.
Great content. Entered my first best ball draft this year. Played DK for years but never best ball. I didn’t know what I was doing so compared to things you said. I might do ok. LOL. Lots of work and time on this video, thank you, it’s very appreciated!
Love the content. Can't wait to see how this shakes out for the next few years when (hopefully) DK provides greater access to their data. In a small sample you get a ton of bias, such as Lamb and St. Brown going at 12 and 13.

I went rogue and employed a never heard of strategy before and grabbbed Allen hurts and stroud with 3out of 4 first picks early plus I backed up Jamar chase({my first pick} with Burton. And I made sure I sure to do the same with multiple stacks. (Godert, know/keon Coleman with Allen) plus I took upside shots on wr rb even though I went “zero” rb I ended up grabbing 3 full team backfields for garunteed points throughout season… did I invent something new???
Great video Tom! Really liked the DK finals data video you did last year and was hoping you’d do it again this year. Do you do all the data work yourself? Also, you got me reconsidering all the zero and hero RB teams I build.
Thanks! Likewise makes me reconsider too! Yeah, take it from the raw data and work everything backwards. It’s not a perfect way of doing things but it gives us something to mull over at least.
Any chance we get some videos on the Weeks 1-4 tournament. I’ve been going double elite TE quite often in those considering it’s kind of like you go right into the knockout rounds
Ideally, but DK don't release that data. Many have asked consistently but they won't release it, so as mentioned at the top, this isn't a perfect way to do it, but it is the best way I can think of to have any information on what people are doing.
As someone who likes to double stack, that data was hard to hear. My favorite is usually QB + WR + TE. I think where you take them is important though too. My favorite so far is probably Kyler + McBride + Dortch. You’re able to get 4 studs before you even start stacking and Dortch is basically free.
Great question and one that I should have explained better perhaps - Week 17 is the final week of the best ball tournaments so it all comes down to that. Instead of your usual small best ball pods, you're playing against 1364 different teams, so minute differences turn into massive ones.

Good stuff man. I managed to get 3 milly maker teams in the finals last year. Didn’t hit the big money but I’m addicted to best ball. So much fun.

3 teams in the finals is wild!

Thanks Tom, great to see DK best ball info, difficult to find where underdog is everywhere, keep up the good work

The Home of Best Ball Europe delivers again!! Really appreciate this being in the UK and limited to DK.

This is quite interesting, surprised its from someone from the Uk. We cant access Underdog in the Uk, but still a useful video. Thanks.
This is after all, the home of best ball in Europe.
Thank you for the advice!
My pleasure. 🤝
These are great man. Not many breaking it down like this especially on DK

Sounds fun, but it’s tough when you have 2 of your first 4 picks guaranteed to be on the bench every single week. Good luck dude.

Do the percentages of this or that team-type in the finals not need to be compared to the % of the overall field with the build?
