      www.laipublications.com/fusils-dassaut-comportement-au-tir/

Without being the more accurate weapon, i really like the AK-74 (for 0-400 m, it does the job very well). On the other side (of the Iron Curtain), the FNC is a very well engineered weapon...and the G36 is a perfected AR-15...
But if I had to choose only one...yes, I think it would be the AK-74 (or the SKS...for a semi-auto). Not a flawless weapon for all purpose, but for cold war Infantry purpose...outstanding. (I don't want an optic on my assault rifle...I am still young enough!)
And on the other side...yes, the FNC. I even prefer it to the Sig 550 : i don't like the recoil spring around the piston, and the gas regulator is very clever on the FNC. I was also very pleased to shoot the Singapore CIS rifle : both SAR-80 and SR-88A was good at the range (the SR-88A sights are some of the best I shot...I am very curious about the SAR-21, but I am not found of bullpup layout). But all in all (it was just, another brick in the wall?)...MY choice:
      East : AK-74
      West: FNC
Yes...I know that some people will be trouble by my West side choice (espacially as being a French people)...but here I only try to be objective...with my experiences... I would love to say "HK-33 is the best" or something like that...but no, I have shot, and clean both HK-33 and FNC....No way, the FNC is great - not flawless, but great. I dream of the FFV AK-5 because I don't like 3rnd-burst... And green is beautiful!
And in the end: I do not pretend to hold "the truth"! Every one as to make its own judgment and choice!

On this video...I really like the HK-33...And yes, still, I am French. And yes, in the article, I said the FAMAS behave better than the HK-33 (it is!)...but I like the "classical" layout of the 33. The FAMAS remains a great weapon of war. And it's easier to clean : as most of the HK roller familly, cleaning on the HK-33 is rather painful.
So, yes, the FAMAS is probably better...but I prefer HK-33 (My choice!)! I am French! I don't have to be an effective war machine...I have to be romantic!

@@laipublications what’s your opinion on the Akm .

@@wongarnold2879 Wonderful weapon (better in all respect than the Type 3 AK-47), espacially consedring that it's a 1st generation intermediate caliber assault rifle (nothing like this in service within the Western Armies...). With the climbing compensator adopted in the mild-60s, the weapon's behavior is really good. And it's a good industrial tool improvment regarding AK-47...
I mean, they not only imporved production mean: they also made it better for combat use. Only five years after the Type 3 AK-47! Rather surprising regarding what western countries are usualy used to... By that time in the West...FAL, G3, M14, 49/56 : good rifles for most of them...but as good as AKM for most infantry combat situation.
I think one of the question here can be "what is best suitable for Infantry combat : 1st or 2nd generation intermediat caliber?". Of course, there is no universal answer, but suitable solution for specifical situations. In the end, AK-103 is the perfected AKM...and in fact, an 7,62x39 mm AK-74M...
      What is your opinion?
