Remembered my childhood days. My father had this Chevy Bel Air 1954 model , Right hand drive, as in India we have right hand drive vehicles.

Yep, it's a 210, and a very nice one! The badge on the hood is upside down, also. The pointed parts should be on top. Very nice car!
Cherish these times with your dad. I always made sure I made time to go see my dad regularly, especially after he hit his 70s. Lost him at age 86, but we made fond memories. No regrets.

Bought a '54 210 4-door in '67 while stationed at Fort Carson Colorado for $200 at a Nash used car lot in Pueblo about 40 miles south. Everything worked, heater, radio, gauges, etc. & the only thing I had done before my first trip home to Detroit was to have the head rebuilt. A GM dealer mechanic in Colorado Springs moonlighted out of his home garage & did his magic for $40. Deal of the century. After that, I swear you could not hear it run unless the hood was open. What a great, reliable and trouble-free car. Great times & memories.

I should have kept it. Ironically in '77 I built a new home & my neighbor across the street had a '54 BelAir Convertible he had since high school. It was in mint condition. Last I heard he passed away & his son now has it. @@dariuskcollier

These are supposed to be 6 volt. Unless it has been converted, something that is not necessary, but common, you will burn out your heater fan, lights, cigarette lighter, etc. You have to use 1 gauge battery cables, as 6 volt starters draw twice the amps as 12 volt starters, and when you double amps, you square, (4 times), the resistance. 4 gauge cables just aren't big enough. They just aren't.

THIS IS NOT A BEL AIR. This is the mid-series 210. Yes, it is a nice car, but it is not a top-of-the-line car.

@@dariuskcollier No, this is a 210. The Bel Air had a double spear on the rear fenders with a contrasting color in between them, and the false "window" in the rear corner posts was all chrome, rather than a chrome outline.

Most people that have them try to hold on to them, but eventually they pop up… Find your favorite year prior to purchasing.. They all look a little different..
