Though I have got the fortune to attend the lectures in person, but still I watched these lectures for revision. My personal experience is that after attending/watching his lectures (Prof Santanu Misra), I usually don't stuck in structural geology. The lectures are very helpful in : GATE , JAM, UPSC (GSI), and other Geology related exams as well as in interviews where you want to defend yourself in structural geology. Thank you Prof Santanu Misra sir and NPTEL for making this available in public domain where everyone can have access.
I have a Master of Science degree in biology, vocational diploma in electronics and courses in geology and electrical engineering. This is the hardest course that I ever had. Frank

Dear Professor, I am a metallurgist by training, but have always loved geology. I was wondering whether you ever use differential geometry in your work. David Pollard (Stanford) wrote an article in 2007 on its use for describing 3-D folds; he and Raymond Fletcher (Penn State) devoted a chapter to that use in their 2005 textbook, _Fundamentals of Structural Geology_ . Geometric Algebra (an extension of vector algebra and calculus) offers several advantages as a way of implementing differential geometry. Although the LinkedIn group that is associated with our channel is aimed primarily at pre-university students, our members include many experts who might be interested in collaborating with you.
Sir my self... Rama... Sir... I am doing project on groundwater potential....mapping.... But i am troubling to give rank and weightage to geology parameter. Can you help me sir?
Sir it's our honor to get such kind of support 🤗 but plz just tell me that it's enough for gate examination or deep knowledge is required to crack gate exam???
@@vinayaksoni4279 I did not teach this course for the students who are preparing for GATE. However, if you follow this course (to be offered again in January, 2021 in NPTEL), it will be certainly helpful for Structural Geology part.
@@santanumisra3267 thank you so much sir for showing such kind of gesture by replying me... And your previous lectures on structure really help me to understand books language and I will attend upcoming lecture surely for getting extra understanding of subject 💜
