I’m not sure if this is the video that you had the translucent sticky notes, but I needed to tell you, THANK YOU! I never knew those existed and me and my office thank you, big time 😂 we all love them.
I love the content you normally have, but I would love to see more of what the kids are working on and like second grade academic things. I need ideas lol
Hi Kim! Just stumbled upon this page and remember I use to watch your makeup videos about 10/11 years ago when i was in elementary school, and how helpful they were especially with the positive atmosphere you provided your audience (i’m about to be 23), it’s amazing to see you’re in a field of work that is going to contribute a lot to the future of these kids, everyone tends to reflect on an amazing teacher and how much you’ve learned from them years later !! Going to continue supporting, I hope all is well for you and hope you and your family are safe and healthy !!
One thing I would love to see more of is how you lesson plan! Im going into my final year of college to be an elementary teacher and am feeling stressed lol
Hey Kim I love your videos they are so fun and uplifting! I’d love to see your STEAM Maker Boxes a Full Classroom library tour and how you organize your storage room ! Keep up the great work and enjoy your kiddos 😃
What are some of your behavior management strategies with the kiddos? I’m in a 1st grade classroom for my college placement (similar to your university student)
Your kids will love those books. You are a great teacher and your kids will be learning so much from you. Remember you are enough and are such a wonderful lady. Am sure your friends will have a great time at your party. The bags look fab. Woudl love to hear more about what you are reading personally, also things you enjoy doing to relax and recharge.
When students are done early they can either be “an expert” that other students consult, they can play a math or literacy game, or they can do open ended play (stem bins, play dough, etc)
More lesson planning, please! 😍 I’d love to see that too! Oh and well… I’m student teaching in a 2nd grade class, my CT has learning games as a “may do” when they’re done with their assignment. They think they get to “play” lol but they’re really practicing words or HFW in a fun way! 🤩
Love seeing all you are up to! I, too, do my whole day on google slides but would love ideas about how you organize that in your drive and what your slides look like. Thank you for sharing your little world with us! :)
Can you please tell me where you got the light clicker and how you hook it up to all your lights? I spend so much time plugging and unplugging lights everyday! Thanks!!
I´m a 5th grade teacher in NC and I can tell you we feel the same here. This is a different year. We have so many students who are so far behind and behaviors are more challenging than usual. I can´t wait to see the pics from your birthday sleepover.
I'm a sophomore in college and getting ready to become a teacher but I would love to see how you do your lesson plans. And if you have any tips for students like me :)
love all your videos, last week I kept searching for your video, I love to sut down on my sunday evening (I live in the UK) and I feel like I'm catching up with a friend
So happy to see another vlog this week!! I missed you last week! I hope you know that you aren't alone in feeling like youre in survival mode! Everyone is! I hope you have the best upcoming week and the best sleepover ever with your friends!!
We have a three day break this week. On Thursday we have parent teacher conferences and Friday is a PD. So hopefully after 10 days off my students don’t forget the rules and procedures. I miss your GRWM before heading into school. I hope you enjoyed bowling yesterday
Love watching your videos. I'm a year 4 teacher in the UK (think it's 3rd grade) I've started using your star tickets reward system with my kids and they LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
If they have iPads , try reading eggs, or Osmo on iPad is great, vooks on an iPad. Create a book for ( photocopy) that has activities, colouring some reading for them to work independently.
Tips for you: 1. If kids get done early have them have worksheets or learning games that they pull and work on that they can grasp and do independently. 2. Poems I recommend Shel Silverstein, Little Orphan Annie, and The crocodile by Lewis Carroll. If you look up poems for kids you will find many different poems.
I love your classroom fridge which you showed in a different video - so CUTE 😍. Encourage/motivate your students by having them read and if they want, illustrate their summary. Choose a few students and put their drawings/pictures on your clsasroom fridge. Or reward in a different way... I would start with just a few minutes of D.E.A.R and build up slowly... In grade 2, students are learning to be independent learners. You could also put them in pairs and let them read to each other. Embrace the noise! 🤭🤪🤷♀️
I bought your birthday book at the beginning of this year and my third graders LOVE it. They are all so excited for their chance to have the class make a book for them...it makes them feel so special! I'm so glad you made it available in your tpt!
I completely understand your struggle in finding a poem for every day of the school year. I own " A Poem a Day" by Helen H. Moore. There are definitely treasures in that book but I wouldn't use it every day. Ken Nesbitt is awesome but his poems may be too challenging for Grade 2??? Pls. let us know who you discover ... 😊
lesson planning and day in the life. :)

I love STEM bins as an early finisher! :)

I love your vlogs! The bags you made were so sweet! Your friends are lucky! Your students are so blessed to have you as their 2nd grade teacher!
You are so sweet. Thank you, Kimberly! 💛

Kim, this year is HARD! I’m struggling trying to get stuff done after work.
When students are done early they can either be “an expert” that other students consult, they can play a math or literacy game, or they can do open ended play (stem bins, play dough, etc)

Right now I have my first graders read (or look at books because they are still learning to read) or practice writing their letters and numbers

Hello Kim! I smiled when I saw the time on your lesson plans… 8:30-9:15ish. I ❤️ the “ish”. I use it all the time 😊
Haha yes same!! Who ever knows exactly how long things will take? 😂

Those type of shoes are called mules. I love Old Navy clothes. Trendy and the price is right.
