Lines/business units/cells are fully automated using robotic arms, conveyor belts, etc. and lights only come back on when maintenance teams have to go in for repairs. Because it is an unfair competition. In EU there are strict rules against subsidization of private companies so that they can compete in the common market on equal footing. But China subsidizes it's domestic companies like BYD HUGELY. EU and USA started putting tariffs on Chinese EV's to level the playing field but if BYD just build their cars in Hungary then it won't work. And R&D that is a bulk of state sponsored subsidies will still apply to this factory so... It is simply unfair
