      Impossible, because the German automobile industry builds cars all over the world, it's too huge. The local workforce in Hungary is also largely insufficient. What worries German manufacturers is the Chinese competition in electrical components and batteries, but not the factories.

But China subsidizes it's domestic companies like BYD HUGELY. EU and USA started putting tariffs on Chinese EV's to level the playing field but if BYD just build their cars in Hungary then it won't work. And R&D that is a bulk of state sponsored subsidies will still apply to this factory so... It is simply unfair

      @@attilaszovan China has factories at home where even the lights are switched off on the whole factory floor. Why? Lines/business units/cells are fully automated using robotic arms, conveyor belts, etc. and lights only come back on when maintenance teams have to go in for repairs. So maybe in the future there won't even be asians bought in as a workforce. Their younger generations at home are silently protesting the low wages they get and the housing crisis by not taking complex jobs or any jobs at all. They seem to have had enough of going nowhere in life whateverthey do. The benefit to the chinese must be mostly the import tariff "loophole", but for Hungary I can't see any benefit for now. Collecting some low taxes or making up for an export deficit?

    Factories of European companies in China can pollute as much as they want, but Chinese companies can't even establish a single car factory ? I have been to factories EU companies factories in China and they are terrible. We basically exported our pollution.

      I worked in China. What you write is absolutely untrue. Chinese companies get away with work standards, lack of safety and pollution levels that no western company would be allowed. I am in R&D and came around almost all China. What I have seen inclusive child labour is not from this world.

      Because it is an unfair competition. In EU there are strict rules against subsidization of private companies so that they can compete in the common market on equal footing. But China subsidizes it's domestic companies like BYD HUGELY. EU and USA started putting tariffs on Chinese EV's to level the playing field but if BYD just build their cars in Hungary then it won't work. And R&D that is a bulk of state sponsored subsidies will still apply to this factory so... It is simply unfair

      If you look over the latest reports on Chinese investment in Europe or Africa, they were mostly detrimental to the country. Only the people in charge that pocketed money benefitted. The best example in Europe is the Montenegro highway built by China, look it up.
      They will trap them in debt and when Hungary will be unable to pay, they will own strategic parts like airports. That's what China has been doing all over the world.

      I back your quote. They opened the Ev factory in Thailand too. They brought all their own ppls and equipments. They hire only low level workers and pay the minimum !. They use Thailand as base to export their cars the region and US to avoid the tariff. They will do the same in Hungary to access EU single market directly !

    This is not good for all Europe but only for Hungary, the other countries don't should allow you to purchase the Chinese car build in Hungary, until the reform of the news tax system is approved which must include all of Europe, in the sense that you build in Hungary ok ,but you have to pay taxes to all of Europe!!

If waste disposal is not per regulated discharge limit from the plant Report to authorities to take action as should to all companies that don't comply.
