great idea using the snare arm for the module, I have the same setup with the toms and bought another cymbal pad on ebay ...now that I have this hi-hat which isn't very good DTX 522k kit I have thoughts of upgrading the hi hat, but with my setup I don't have room for a hi-hat stand,...uggggg
I hate this hi hat have nothing but problems. First one lasted maybe 6mos. Stopped working. Bought a new one they ain't cheap also stopped working. I'm not a heavy hitter so I'm not damaging it. There's a flaw with these and I hope uou don't experience it stop working. Hope all is good with it for you.
Thanks for your vid0 I just got the dtx6k3, I think same hi hat stand. How to you keep the hi-hat from spinning around? Nothing seems to keep it still , yamaha logo to the front. thx
Yes you are rite, it's different with electronic hats, no in-between, just open or closed. I have the Roland also and they are very good. Both Yamaha and Roland symbols are very durable pieces of equipment.
Hi Jeffrey, I just recently purchased the DTX6K-X and I’m finding that the foot splash sound is not very good with the hh65 controller. Did you experience that as well? Does the rhh135 do a better foot splash? Thanks!
Yes i did notice it. I don't think the Yamaha hi hat trigers a good foot splash. Roland offers the best possible hi hat pad you can buy, and they are getting better, but still the hi hats need work. Roland actually has a digital hi hat now that connects with a usb cable, i played it over at guitar center and its awesome. If you have a guitar center near by go give the roland TD50 a try just to play the hi hat. Its very sensitive.
@@bassdetective865 yes absolutely. I would never buy a e drum kit if it was not set up with a hi hat on a hi hat stand. I would always pay the extra to move up to that tear. Manufacture's try and have different price points to serve different needs. The bass models always come with that plastic controller thingy.
Help me please. I'm trying to set up and connect this h hat controller with my yamaha dtx multi 12 pad. There is Absolutely No videos or any help online or even in the owners manuals for the multi 12 or the RHH 135 on o connect and set them up together. I'm just tired of searching for info and not finding what I'm looking for. Please

Are you using a different rack? I am using a Pearl rack now. It's awesome. You could use a 3 sided rack..
GREAT VIDEO

Good value for money.

So what’s your review if the rhh135? I found not much calibration possibilities it’s either open or closed no in between. I like Roland’s better.

Hola, si me pudiera ayudar, como es la conexión de cables del rhh135 al módulo 502, gracias

Gotcha…but you would definitely go with the RHH135 upgrade on a stand instead of the HH65 controller setup that comes stock with the DTX6 kit?

@@Prizmatic1658 thanks Jeff
@@Prizmatic1658I continue to be disappointed with HH controllers. There is nothing like a good hihat sound from two cymbals touching.

I will do a video showing how to hook up the hi-hat pad. It requires 2 wires, i will show it and explain it in detail.
@jeffreysimardondrums4443 thanks very much! I greatly appreciate it 🙏
