Thanks William! I made them from scratch. You can find the die faces on the Studio Tomahawk website, color them in with photoshop or such as you like and then glue 'em to some blank dice. Quite a bit of effort but having unique dice is cool!
Quick query on the spell placing terrain, if you're ruling that terrain cannot overlap, how are you dealing with the Rise of the Spirits Titan finishing a move in terrain?
I've thought this about a couple of your battle reports: it seems like the player to move first has a big advantage, because they can basically maneuver their whole army almost halfway across the table for free. The second player is then restricted from maneuvering so far, due to the forward positions taken by the first player. If the battle involves taking objectives in the middle of the table then the advantage for player 1 is pretty significant. Wouldn't you say so?
Thanks for chiming in, Luke! In most scenarios you start about L away and since you can't maneuver within L, it doesn't really factor in much. (unless your opponent deliberately deployed further back, which wouldn't be wise in a scenario with objectives in the middle) Since the first player is generally hampered by limited dice or activations (varies in each scenario), the second player typically has the advantage. If we're thinking about capturing objectives, being able to grab them on the last turn with no chance of counter-attack is huge.
Turn 1 you move M into the terrain. Shouldnt movement be reduced to S when you enter it? Olus, turn 1 woodies, the terrain, it should have moved to charge no?
@@RodgeRules at 7:45 you move the big demon into the terrain, just enough to stay out of charge range, but still it looked like it was more then S. yeah, i missed the terrain being moved by ... easy to miss.
Fun game to watch. Thanks, Rodge and Davey! I have yet to try AOM...with the spells and new troop types, it seems to up the ante a bit on choices and complexity.
Thanks Mike! The additional goodies do make it feel like a distinct challenge from the usual historical inspired Saga if I'm getting burned out. You're in a good spot with a sizable historical community but for many folks keeping in touch with the magic side is a good way to introduce new players into the ruleset.
29:32 Shouldnt 4 casualties by Spear of Light cast on a behemoth ( which have Resilience(2) ) only result in 2 fatigue, not 4 ?
I'm around halfway through, great battle!
The dice gods really favor one side so far... :D
Hehe, thank you! Better to be lucky earlier than later in my opinion!
Where did you get those awesome magic dice?

Ahoy! Same thing, no going into terrain.

Hi Jeff! Nobody moves into terrain turn 1. The M measuring stick was for the Portal. The video does show Davey moving the terrain in for the charge.

@@Trulli9 Ahh, that is a normal hill, which does not affect movement.
Great game :)
Thanks Adam!
