The song includes lines like "I'll bet my money on de bob-tail nag, Somebody bet on de bay". However, betting on horses was considered immoral at the time, so the "Camptown ladies" may have been shady

I love Mike and Dan, they are the very best of the best. My only complaint, and I rarely have any, is why the Stephen Foster is NOT the DRF Race of the Day? The Manilla Stakes, Grade III, and not the $1,000,000 Grade I Stephen Foster? I get it, DRF wants folks to buy the PP's for the Foster and the Churchill card...
