    Brass cap drill it out, remove it, heat carb with heat gun to break free factory lock tite. And then Used d-shape tool to unscrew fuel screw . 3:15

    do you think a 45 pilot and a 100 main with and adjustable needle would preform well with a full system FMF 4.1 pipe and stock air box.

    • @gsxrstyle
      @gsxrstyle  16 дней назад +1

      @AndrewBlumenkemper i mean itall trial and error personally I think 100 main is too much. when I put it in my bike I didn't have access to the air screw. it ran well but God awful rich . I wouldn't go higher then 90 on the main 42 or 43 on the pilot start there .yhe real magic happens with the air screw

So issue is that when I go give it a hand full it Boggs out on me so should I make sure the jets are 22mm I already cleaned out the carb and everything please help.. bike runs and starts up good but when I want to rip on it it will bogg out

      @Chevy243 i would go richer on the jets . can you adjust the air screw on the carb or is it blocked off ? that screw is key to getring the bike to run right

    i have a 2002 klx 110 that’s sat for a while, i drained all fuel and took oil out and changed. i get a strong blue spark and it fires strong after pouring some starting fluid down the intake. im ordering a new carb. but im worried it could be a choke issue or a gas feeding issue. i’ve already cleaned the carb but i cant get a stuck jet out. i kinda dont know what to do until my new carb comes in.

    Over the air screw there is a brass plug that needs to be removed to access it. I drilled it out.

I've taking this carb apart atleast 30 times hahah so I know it but if you take your time and even take pictures how everything goes if you have to you should have no issues .if you don't want to mess with the carby on Amazon they sell a Chinese BH carb for $45 it works great

    • @gsxrstyle
      @gsxrstyle  2 года назад +1

      It can only be 1 of 2 things there is a screw on opposite lower side of carburetor that can be slight open it's a drain for the bowel try to tighten that or it's the float getting stuck check the measurements of the little float tab that controls the height

      they are all set lean from the factory. get the cold start jet kit from rocky mountain atv. com start there and very important to gain access to that hidden air fuel screw hidden under the brass cap.

    I have a 2022 klx 110rl. It carries a 40 pilot and a 78 main stock. I did have already done the air box modification and I cut out the spark arrestor from the back end of the exhaust. I am possibly looking into buying a jet kit do you think the 45 pilot and 100 main combo will run well in south FL (0 elevation, hot temperatures)?

    • @gsxrstyle
      @gsxrstyle  2 года назад

      The jets are very cheap I've tried a 45 it seemed to get it more snap off the bottom I've also tried 100 main but bike seemed too rich in my opinion but I'm in ct I have a 85 main and 42 pilot now with just the airbox mod bike runs great but I'm thinking will try the 90 main when I had the 100 main in black spooge was landing on the swing arm and you could smell the unturned fuel maybe with the exhaust drilled out it will work well for you ..but for sure I'd buy a 42 and 45 pilot 90 and 100 main I'm thinking you wouldn't need to experiment with anything in between as I already did with every size lol 😆 good luck

      could be so many things tbh. but sounds to me like it's not getting enough fuel fast enough in the float bowl. so the motor is burning up what's in the bowl but the float level maybe off causing the bowl not to fill back up . those Flotes are temperamental

      @gsxrstyle  Год назад

      @TC-iz6xe I believe it will .my bike ran perfect after . you may have to adjust idle and air screw abit on 1st start up but then it's mint from there turn air screw in words or clock wise to richen and counter clock to lean out . when bike is warm quick full throttle snap your bike and keep turning air screw clockwise until it no longer chokes up don't go too rich either though just enough to not choke

    So your currently running a 42, and 85? Have the same, stock 2022 klx110 rl and it needs more fuel. Wondering if 42 and 85 where the best that you could noticeably tell with out adding to much and if I should stick with those or get a verity of main jets to test. Thx

      @@drewiannarilli8275 I guess that is a brass cap covering the air screw I was able to drill into it and pull off but then you need a special D tool to turn it I tried but stripped mine out lol 😆 so now I'm stuck with what I got ..im actually at the stock 78 pilot and 80 main now .I only went leaner for the wheelies I was trying to learn when I had it rich on the pilot the throttle input was instant and too much I'd say 42 85 is a solid set up that will give you a noticeable increase

    • @gsxrstyle
      @gsxrstyle  2 года назад

      The jets are cheap so you can get a few I'd play with 80 85 and 90 I don't see a need to go any higher as the bike starts getting really rich at 90 but that was on my bike and I'm not sure what the air screw is set at from factory so may slightly vary from bike to bike

I recently put in a 42 and 88 and god is it so much better. I wasn’t looking for anything crazy pretending I was gonna absolutely rip on a 110 but with stock jets it was just so damn boggy. It backfires a tad on decel but overall runs pretty good. If you crack it from idle it nearly stalls, not sure what to do. If the bike is moving and you crack it the bike goes fine.

      @Bernie burnstein if your elevation is sea level to about 4,000 feet you should be good with a 42 pilot and a 82 main jet ..im betting he has a 100 + for a main jet. it's way too rich also using the air screw is crucial for these bikes to run right .I highly suggest paying the $45 B-H motors carb on Amazon for your yr bike it comes bolt on ready with the right jets and a much better tapered needle for very smooth throttle response . also you have direct access to the air fuel screw via a flat head screw driver . the stock carb is junk in my opinion they block off the air screw so its hard to get to but it is possible but more then likely you will destroy the carb trying like I did lol . I have like 3 videos on the correct jetting and how to do it sorry they are long but it shows you how to do it and also the b and h carb replacement ..but if you just want jets you are going to want 42 pilot no bigger and a 82 main and and 90 main np bigger if you are sea level with the bike being stock ..hope this helps

      @@gsxrstyle you gotta remove the brass cap by drilling a small hole in it and then send a small screw into that hole so you’ve got something to grab onto . Then you can pull it right out. Be careful not to drill too far in. The cap is thin and the adjustment screw is directly underneath it. You will need a D shaped socket to adjust screw after cap is removed. I had to go up a pilot size regardless but the adjustment air screw is a must if you want it perfect.
