From a technical standpoint it's an engineering marvel. However, from a practical standpoint, it doesn't make much sense. It would likely tire any rider out long before the battery cuts out. No fairing and having your entire body fighting the wind all the way at 60mph is just too much for most riders to endure.
I'd like to try it for half an hour at highway speeds but that's enough.
I still think it's an awesome scooter and I give great respect to the designer and team that built it. I always enjoy these WEPED videos.😂
Agreed. If it had some set of fairings, windscreen, and a light seat. It would basically be a traditional scooter again.

By far this is the "KING OF SCOOTERS" Grand Daddy Og.
So fun...and also dangerous. I have a Kaabo wolf king gt, does 63mph (101km/h) so I have an idea of how this one rides. Don't get me wrong I love it, but you absolutely need full motorcycle gear when riding it. Even then you can still get seriously injured in a crash. I crashed 8 months ago going 35mph (56km/h) and I broke a rib, tore my ACL, and permanently tore my left rotator cuff. I didn't respect it enough or realize how dangerous it could be.

Yes, it has much longer braking distance than a motorcycle, it's less stable, no ABS, and companies which make them don't follow strict regulations like motorcycle manufacturers do.
I mean if motorcycles aren't dangerous enough then you can step it up a notch and get a thing like this.
I want to see a video of someone panic breaking that and their feet or body flys forward.
Sorry for your accident mate, I like the fact that the Weped Sonic has larger rims and tires makes it a bit safer. Even if you ride safe, you hit a pothole especially with a small wheeled scooter you are going to go flying.

But. There's a reason why most countries legally limit how fast they can go. Think about it. He's literally invisible to the rest of the traffic. A visibility vest could change that, but the rate he's moving... all it takes is one driver who looks in his mirror for a split second then changes lanes. Or a tailgater who's response time is 1 second more. They knock you off and run you over.
No visibility and no sound. You might as well try flying instead... So... as fun as it looks, I'd probably have a blast on a closed circuit, with all the protective gear. Not in high-density traffic.

for people who dont understand how to ride a motorbike. I mean comon at a motorbike you become one with the bike and its a sport to become a good driver. You dont stand on a bike, maybe just in some cases on a dirtbike for split sceconds but not normaly.

Install a saddle and you will have motorbike. I do not understand why good to stand. It is much more instable especially in an unexpected emergency situation when you do not have time to push your body back but must braking strongly.

What they do not tell you is that those riders are gymnasts and Kung Fu masters with amazing balance. A normal person will kill themselves standing at those speeds. The only safe way to ride that is seated as a ebike.

It's a crazy thing to do... speeding at 110 km/h, there are no direction indicators and essentially no safety equipment... a helmet is not the only thing that protects you...

@@tmassncs1141 Its not road legal. The Police would seize it. And If you don't have the correct drivers license that would be even more expensive. And I don't know what kind of licence would be valid here it is not a Car, quad, Motorbike etc. Normal E-Scooter have a speed limit in germany of 20KM/H.
