When I finally got Rev2, I was too anxious to hop in lobbies, and there was no one in netplay, so combo trials and missions are practically all I did. Dizzy's were alot of fun (I rarely mess up tk inputs now after those).
Same here. Ky's and baiken's advanced 10 gave me nightmares, but i really dig sol's and may's trials. Games really fun even single player.
@@pl412 Lol playing Baiken in general has certainly done things to my wrist that can't be undone. I don't think I did Ky's. I tried in Sign, but I didn't get very far then.

I would love to see you try Blazblue Centralfiction trials ! Not that they are the hardest but just to see you play BB would make my day 🥰
If you think THAT'S hard, try doing that with weighted training cloths in 100x Earth's gravity in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for over a year

I've recently picked up trying to learn Rev2 in preparation for Strive(I know they won't exactly translate but I need experience period). On top of trying to learn an entirely new game(without a lot of FG experience) I'm also trying to learn stick as I've had one for a few years but never really got around to it.
I have chosen Haehyun as my character of choice(possibly not a good choice I've learned haha) and it gives me some much needed sanity seeing even a seasoned gamer like yourself struggling with the timings on these links as I spend hours doing these trials.
Thanks for putting out stuff like this, it keeps the old men trying to learn new tricks like me going haha.
I would love to see youu do them all and then grade the character with the hardest combo and 1 character with the hardest trials. Good stuff!!
Well, the "micro dash" is NOT visible on the left side command display, BUT the sample input during the playback shows the dash input (as 66H).

Some of these trials have crazy stuff in them.
If you want to break your stick...go for Izanami trials in Central Fiction
...but if you want to break your stick AND your fingers, try Naoto Kuragane's in Blazblue Central Fiction.
Potemkin trial 8 kills me. I’m gonna keep on trying till I get that one right.

12:27 Hitstun decay is determined by the duration you are in hitstun, not the number of the combo counter like in most games. By hitting the 5k sooner, you can combo j.S > j.H in time before the histun decay makes it impossible. The intended compensation was to hit the blitz > 66c.S sooner.

I know different people find different aspects of combos difficult. For me I think the hardest combo trials are BB CF, some of them just destroy the hands lol
Just now doing sol’s ones. Advanced 10 is actually excruciating. The dash into low HS cr.HS,the delayed fafnir after double jumping D,the damn instant dash gunflame and of course somehow the hardest part with the j.D at the end. Gl with that that’s gonna be a fun part to watch

These combos feel like dbfz combos but they are much tighter. Then again I play ginyu so I might be biased. Btw the forward dust combos are always the hardest for me.
Now, im not gonna say im good at fighting games in general, but i have to say, merkava's combo trial in bbtag was one of the most difficult thing id ever done.

The only real combo trials I can do for the most part are the FighterZ ones....but most of those are easy. Do an auto-combo! Do one special! Do one super! Mash auto-combo after super dash! FighterZ is pretty lenient in comparison to most other combo trials but even so, my fingers just can't move fast enough sometimes.
If you want hardcore combo try Blazblue Central Fiction, and if you want to become athrithis choose Naoto kuragane (combination of Ragna and Rock Howard), I am not even kidding

IMO BlazBlue and UNI have the hardest combo trials of modern fighting games. But all these I can manage just fine, I can do them if I practice enough.
There is one game though, that I consider to be the hardest of them all: Fate/Unlimited Codes. I just can't do those combos to save my life 😅

As a relative newb to fighting games (yes, I am one of the DBFZ sheep that actually stayed with the genre) this video is one of the many examples that make me secretly happy that STRIVE is being 'toned down'.
I'm also one of those sheeps, but i'm a little bit sad that Strive is being 'toned down', i love hard combos, still i'm gonna play it
Well if it makes you feel better, there are way simpler and easier combos to do in Xrd to get decent damage and a knockdown if you wanted to learn them. Some Xrd (well Classic Guilty Gear in general) links like Sol's Dustloop are still in Strive anyway because its legacy and popularity.
Seriously, fundamentals and reads in these games make and break matches. It's harder to gauge how well your fundamentals are in DBFZ because of snap super dash and vanish, also it's a tag game with way unbalanced assists, but you should be fine.

Nope. There usually arent many optimals in the tutorials. GG is made with being over the top in mind. The skill ceiling for optimal combos in GG is insane. I've been mixed online in different ways almost every match. Lol compared to DBFZ where everyone has literal the same 2m double juggle air combo into super it's actually ludicrous. GG is all about being over the top.

Not really. They’re better than nothing, but there are usually better combos you can do. These are just here to give you ideas of what combo pieces are actually possible so that you can think up combos on your own

@@jrk5190 Depends on which trial it is, as it varies from char to char. For example, Sin’s combo trials include pretty much all of his BnBs, but Axl’s has the “full Sparrowhawk > RC > Sparrowhawk” combo that no one on earth would ever use because it does no damage for half your meter. I’d check the character discords for Xrd to find the optimal combos for your character if you wanna know more

These trials look really fun to do
They are about ten times harder than they look.
A lot of the harder ones require like, three air dashes with about five frames of give. They'll make you want to rip your hair out.
