Website is great, simple, and transparent. The website doesn’t hide any cost and is super easy to use. Almost reminds me of squid industries website but for RC.

Congrats fellas! Proud of you. You have to get your hands on the big one...I put about 200 flights on my RV-8 60e before I sold it to a buddy (so I can still fly it..lol). GREAT flyer...everything you describe here, only even better because its bigger. Quique, Seth, and co make some great planes!
I basically fly Auras in all of my planes now. A total game changer especially for a senior like me who’s flying field is perpetually windy. I’m ordering an RV today..
Wow... as a total noob with a Carbon Cub and wanting the RV-7, I saw your review of it and found this video... now I'm hooked on the RV-8! I like that it's suitable as a second plane.
Your channel has inspired me to fly “out of the box” and I’ve never enjoyed the hobby more. I fly in challenging areas testing my rc capability’s. I would love to see a video of nose wheel limitations with bush flying.
Right on! 💙 That's what it's all about. We'll have to look into it and maybe do a collab with our buddy BackCountry182 who regularly flies full scale off gravel bars with a nose gear. -Zach
@@TailHeavyProductions I watch his channel as well! I’m a student pilot, I fly a piper archer III and always wondered what it’s limits are when flying in rugged areas. I love your channel and have been subscribed since the beginning! Great content keep up the great work!
I'm convinced and you take Shop pay which is great. The FC alone is $120 and will work with crossfire on sbus and the plane uses quad battery packs which I have a bunch of.
That plane looks awesome. I love the night flying but you are right, not many have tried flying in complete darkness and it a much different “feeling” of flying I guess you can say. Anyway , I’m new to your channel and loving the videos.
The FunCub still out-slow-flies this plane and any other plane out there right now by far. The wing cube loading of this plane is nearly double of it. That being said, this plane out-flies the FunCub when it comes to 3D and aerobatic ability, by far. We did upload the bush conversion video already, be sure to check it out! 😁
I have the rc 7.1 by e flite, while not the same exact plane, it’s very similar and is a beautiful flying plane. It’s super stable and I’ve actually yet to stall it. I may spring for the rv8 if I get more room 😂
While the E-Flite RV-7 is a great looker, in the air you'll quickly find it's much more limited in its abilities than the Flex RV-8. The RV-8 outflies it in all phases of flight, especially in 3D. -Zach
Have you flown the Yak 10E yet? I wasn't super impressed with the stock setup in the Aura, and ended up turning off all the built in mixes and turning the gyro gains down one notch in all flight modes, as well as getting rid of all the built in dual rates/expo so I could just set it up through my transmitter like normal. I definitely like it much better now, and it's a fantastic precision airplane, but not quite the 3D monster I was hoping for.
We haven't, nope. Our personal preference with most of the aircraft from Flex Innovations is to set the gains to low on all flight modes as well as adjusting our rates and expos as well. The stock config files are a good starting point but there's nothing wrong with tweaking it until you like it. 👍
Glad to hear I'm not the only one who thinks this flies like crap with the stock setup. I was going to rip out the Aura completely but maybe I will give it one more try with a more dramatic removal of stock settings. I wish I had bought the eFlite Commander I wouldn't have had to waste money on new 6s 1800 batteries either. I'm sure it will fly great once the Aura is out of the plane but still. Disappointing. Also, I emailed Flex and they did not respond.
Absolutely love how the reviews are honest... it earned you another subscriber! Also, would you guys recommend this as a first 3d plane, or for learning basic 3d on?
Is the Aura 8 already set TO JUST PLUG IN, BIND AND FLY? Example - when you employ flaps, is the elevator already adjusted to half and then full flaps?
Can you guys throw some bush gear on the yak 55 10e from Flex and put it through it's paces? I'm very torn between the yak 55 10e and the rv-8 10e planes. Both seem so good
@@TailHeavyProductions can you tell me if the landing gear mounting points and hardware on the two ships are the same? The yak with the carbon gear you guys put on the rv-8 would be awesome.
In your last video i asked what you favpurite bush plane is but now i am really interested what your favourifte plane (its cool and i really like the rv10 but besides that you are selling it whats you favourite favourite)
The OG Fun Cub will forever be our favorite RC plane of all time. However, my current go-to 3D park flier is 100% the Flex Innovations RV-8 10e. Nothing beats it. 😁 -Zach
The Fun Cub was designed exclusively for bush flying, whereas the RV-8 10e was not, so it wouldn't replace a Fun Cub in that aspect. However, stay tuned for this week's video to see if the RV-8 10e proves itself as a bush plane (after a couple mods). 😁 -Zach
The Cap 232 is a tried and true purpose built 3D bird. It’s also a larger airframe (not a 10 sized model). The RV is a jack of all trades whereas the Cap is meant purely for hucking. 😁👍 -Zach
Vasco, we are looking into this for you with Flex to get a quote for the RV-8 10e shipped to Portugal. Are you wanting a T-Shirt or an airplane? Please email us at: support@tailheavyrc.com
A Rv-8 bush conversion would be neat to see!
I can just support that
👀

So....just huge wheels?
I think we need slats! Landing gear is very important!
There's some states that snow, it'd be cool to see some ski pad landing gears
BUSH RV-8 10E Mod? YES!! Go for it guys👍👍👍👍

Thank you! That was our goal so it means a lot to hear it from a potential customer. 👍 Ben is one talented dude. -Zach
I've had the mamba 10 on 4S for over 2 years now and it is one bad-ass airplane. Flex innovations make some of the best stuff ever.
Bought it today from Tail Heavy. Cannot wait for the arrival. Shout out to THP for all the help!!!
So happy to see you guys finally dropped the website! Looking forward to see what's to come for you guys 🙂

I’ve flown this plane before and they are on the nose, this plane flies amazing
Your production and narration are top notch. Congrats on the partnering! I loved my flexjet before it nose planted on a brown out.
Great work guys!!!!.....and YES on your doing a Bush conversion of this outstanding bird...TY for posting... Lee
Its because of your video I have bought one now! Can't wait to get it in my hands and fly it!!!! 😍

Love your videos. I totally enjoyed the Red Devil Squadron and I'm glad to see the spirit continues on.
Definitely do a bush conversion!!! I would absolutely love that!!
Yes. Bush it up, please.

+1 on the bush conversion. I was thinking of getting a Fun Cub for the slow flight and versatility, but this looks pretty versatile too!

bush conversion for sure. are you guys gonna do a vid on the cessna 170?
Potentially! 👍
If only it wasnt $400, just added to the wishlist
Buy the eFlite commander instead.
waited for the realese of the video 2hrs xD

Can you guys throw some bush gear on the yak 55 10e from Flex and put it through it's paces? I'm very torn between the yak 55 10e and the rv-8 10e planes. Both seem so good
Neither are designed for bush flying - but only one of those two is designed strictly to be a 3D plane. If you want that, snag a Yak.
@@TailHeavyProductions I understand that, would still be awesome to see.
@@TailHeavyProductions can you tell me if the landing gear mounting points and hardware on the two ships are the same? The yak with the carbon gear you guys put on the rv-8 would be awesome.
Is the RV-8 10E okay for beginners? I would love to support you guys!
Thank you! Unfortunately, we really couldn't honestly suggest it to a beginner, but it would make a great 2nd or 3rd plane! -Zach

Love you guys great channel (for bushpiliots and) for everyone!
Just needed to say that thanks for the videos!
Is there an example of a plane doing a stall with a bad "bite"?
A “bite” is just an informal reference to a wing dropping (asymmetric stall). 👍
Is it going to be the new Funcub?
The Fun Cub was designed exclusively for bush flying, whereas the RV-8 10e was not, so it wouldn't replace a Fun Cub in that aspect. However, stay tuned for this week's video to see if the RV-8 10e proves itself as a bush plane (after a couple mods). 😁 -Zach
i want to get one
Just got mine. Thanks Tail heavy.
Awesome!
This craft looks fkn mad
Can you Delivery in India
How does this compare to the cap 232?
